“Exquisite Estate Located in the Heart of Singapore”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is an exquisite estate located in the heart of Singapore. The Fullerton Bay Hotel is a hotel that is a quieter and generally more pleasant hotel when compared to the major competitor, Marina Bay Sands, which I find far too busy and more of a tourist attraction then a hotel. It offers a fantastic array of restaurants, bars and accommodation to suit all types of tourists, businessmen and family’s needs. Upon entrance in the Fullerton Bay Hotel it is evident how pristine and neat the hotel is. There is a large and long hall that leads to the Landing Point Restaurant, one which looks over the immense bay. The lobby is a main feature of the hotel as it leads to the Clifford Restaurant and the lifts to the rooms.

I personally stayed in a Deluxe Room, a fantastic style of accommodation that has stunning views of major Singapore attractions, including the most photographed building in the world, the Marina Bay Sands. The room has a fantastic open style bathroom with a prestigious rain shower and superb bathtub to cover everyone’s needs. At night-time the view is even more exceptional as the lights come out from the surrounding hotels, roads and high-grade boardwalk.

The butlers and staff around the hotel are a true highlight as they provide some of the finest service in any hotel in Singapore. Once upstairs the view turns into even greater with the beautiful pool, spas and lantern bar in the mix. The pool is marvellous as it is not packed and kept at a good temperature all day. The spas are prestigious to sit in as they offer a complete view over Singapore, much like the rooms.

When night-time comes round I recommend the Clifford restaurant near the lobby. I found the Lantern Bar to be too busy for dinner and quite loud and alive, but others may like this kind of atmosphere compared to a quieter and more formal restaurant in which Clifford is. I found the gym to be quite small and the equipment cramped for such a large and major hotel.

The Fullerton Bay is overall a fantastic hotel to stay for a short amount of nights. I would recommend staying at multiple hotels if you were to stay at Singapore over a week as it will offer more perspectives of Singapore. The butlers and staff are very pleasant as is the pool & spa. The Fullerton Bay offers a luxurious stay for anyone who visits Singapore and is highly recommended.

Walking distance to several attractions and malls, as well as Raffles hotel. Lovely roof pool deck for swims, jacuzzi, gym or drinks/snacks. One of the best views in Singapore.

Staff are attentive, friendly and very competent. Almost faultless service. They were able to fulfil even unusual requests.

Only negative was late night (1am) music and chair scraping audible from 6th floor room, which is directly below pool deck.

when I got out of the car, I had to immediately take prewedding photo, the access from the car park towards the exit so not as difficult as I imagined, and at the next corner there are vending machines, wow .. very helpful at all. it can recover my stamina.

My impression of the hotel fullerton this:
clean, neat, attention to the needs of pedestrians as well as its customers.

I treated myself to a night here whilst in a Singapore. I mainly chose the Fullerton Bay for its position, having been to Singapore before
Even though I was early, check in was very efficient and I only had to wait 15 minutes for a room, the lounge area by reception is very pleasant so it wasn't a hardship
I then walked to Marina Bay mall, which took around 20 minutes in the heat of the day. I should have taken the concierge's advise of taking a taxi!
My room was superb and beats the Mandarin Oriental, which I could see across the bay. The small balcony with lounges is such a nice touch. I sat there for a couple of hours in the late afternoon and in the morning before check out. I had a ground floor room, so I was right on the water's edge. I would recommend you ask for one of the ground floor rooms
The room itself was large, with a big, very comfortable bed, good quality linens and a pillow menu
Lots of other extra touches - Bose iPod docking station, Nespresso machine with plenty of capsules (I hate it when you get 2 per stay!), unusual teas, lots of magazines to browse through, a good working space, widescreen tv with lots of channels. Free high speed wifi was also complimentary and I used on 3 devises.
There are also lots of eating places within a 5 minute walk in the Fullerton Heritage site, from casual to fine dining. I would also recommend that you read the exhibition in the lobby, describing the history of Clifford Pier, the site where the Fullerton Bay now sits. It is fascinating. I only wished that I had been here on a Monday, Thursday or Saturday, so I could have joined in the guided tour of the Fullerton Heritage site, which is free for guests.
The bathroom, which had a glass window into the room, although there was a blind, was a good size, with a separate bath and tub, Bulgari toiletries, a box full of goodies you might have forgotten. Lots of nice fluffy towels
My only slight gripe would be breakfast. The food on the whole was very good, buffet style. Excellent fruit and cooked options, both Asian and Western. There was also a chef cooking eggs. However, the service was very slow. Plates were not cleared away. No offer of more tea or hot water. At 9.30am the cheese board was virtually empty and wasn't restocked. But I would really advise the hotel to change its baker. Very poor quality bread and pastries. Not what I would have expected from a hotel of this standard.
But apart from the minor moan, everything else was top class and I would definitely choose the Fullerton Bay next time I'm in Singapore

Stayed here for a few weekend without the boys ... and i thought this hotel is just gorgeous. Service - impeccable, design - amazing, experience - out of the world. Would definitely stay in this beautiful hotel again. A lux stay.

This hotel has beautiful colonial interior and surrounded by many singapore's landmarks, such as the first MRT station, marina bay sands tower, singapore's eye, merlion and esplanade. The room size is large, the breakfast and tea time's menu was delicious. The hotel's restaurant located in the side of marina's bay with indoor and outdoor area. The hotel's service was excellent. I left this hotel at 6pm before my check out date, and they gave me 40% discount from the room rate, such as sweet surprise.

We stayed at the Fullerton Bay Hotel for a long weekend with a toddler. The hotel is very coveniently located, walking distance to the Raffles Place MRT station and walking distance to the Marina Bay Sands. The hotel itself is beautiful and particularly nice this time of year as it was decorated for Christmas. We had a corner room with a partial bay view. Would stay here again but probably for work, rather than leisure.

Pros:
- Location, location, location.
- Not a huge hotel so felt quite personal.
- Great rooftop bar (Lantern) and pool.
- This is really meant to be a business hotel but they were quite child-friendly in that there was a fairly extensive children's menu and they didn't try to kick us out of the bar with our child on Saturday night.
- Nice modern luxe feel

Cons:
- Service, particularly at the restaurants and bar, was extremely slow and inefficient. We had a dinner reservation on Friday night and called down to ask the concierge how long it would take to get to our destination. He said 15 minutes by taxi but made no mention that the street in front of the hotel was shut down due to a race or that getting a taxi on Friday night is a nightmare. Needless to say, we ended up being 1.5 hours late for our dinner.
- Room was well-sized but not spacious by any means
- Only one sink in the bathroom but separate (and large) bathtub and shower
- Good workspace and well thought out details, like multiple international plugs on both sides of the bed (this is the first hotel I've seen with internaitonal plugs on BOTH sides of the bed).
- Food is so-so (Clifford and Landing Point)
