We selected this hotel after an exhaustive search on the internet, and we selected it purely because it was a new hotel, which looked very clean. Having read previous reviews, we were aware of the small - sized rooms, but we were not prepared for how tiny the rooms really were!!!!!!!!.....luckily i had requested larger rooms through my travel agent when booking, and had also emailed the hotel in this regard.............. very special mention of Chris at the front desk who was very helpful and obliging, and somehow managed to get us larger rooms....So Cheers Chris!!!!!!

Pros:
-Clean, new hotel.....the rooms, though tiny had every amenity needed
-close to Little India and City Square Mall
-Modern and ideal if you do not spent all your time in the room
-Tasty Breakfast
- easy access to trains and buses
- Express check-in

Cons:
- Very small reception are with only one sofa, not enough for the influx of tourists at times
- Not very ideal room and bathroom sizes, specially for Asians....quite often two people would bump into each other in the room
- Toiletries were not replaced much during our stay for 5 nights
- Sheets were not changed, despite expressly telling them to as we had chocolate on it
- The breakfast, though tasty, was the VERY SAME every day......no variety at all.....a request to have eggs made differently was turned down.

However our stay was enjoyable, would consider staying again....

Room Tip: Ask for larger rooms at the time of booking

Considering Singapore is like Mumbai-space is at a premium- you could excuse this place as it escapes notice if one is not alert enough while on Lavender street which gives it the name. We stayed one night en-route to Malaysia.Arriving wee hours of the morning we were bracing up to a weary day as check in times in Singapore are at 2pm- weird by any standards. However the friendly receptionist ensured we were in by 10 am! A small lobby and an adjoining restaurant tells you how the neatly laid out area utilizes its space constraints to the hilt.

Inside the room is well planned considering the space. Our room was L shaped with an extra bed to accommodate 4. The bathroom was teeny but well appointed.

Location is close to Little India and is convenient in the sense that access to taxi service is just outside the hotel. Well recommended for all kinds of visitors business or leisure, budget or high end.

Breakfast selection is limited and there is ample scope for improvement.

Once you are out of the backpacker bracket, it's pretty difficult to find a reasonably priced, decent hotel in Singapore, but the Aqueen Lavender is exactly that.
The hotel is modern, secure and clean plus the reception staff are friendly and helpful.
The rooms aren't massive but if you're just using the hotel as a place to sleep then is it fine.
There is a restaurant attached to the hotel serving breakfast if you need that.
The hotel is well situated and 10 minutes walk from the metro and also within easy walking distance of little India and Little Arabia.
Best of all, the Lavender Food Square Centre is just 2 minutes walk away where you can get a fantastic meal for very little money.
One word of warning to the tall !!! The beds aren't that long, if you are over 6ft you may stick out of the end of the bed, I slept with my ankles sticking out past the end of the mattress while we were there.

The hotel is nice, the rooms a bit tight but still comfortable for tourists like us who don't stay much in the room. Breakfast was nice with very good service. I like the modern interior and the room is very clean and well maintained. It is a bit of a walk to the train station but nevertheless, we are happy with our stay here.

From lavender station to the hotel still need a bit of walking. The better way the reach the hotel is still by bus after get off from the station. Taking bus number 145 is easy to get to various of attraction like bugis, Clarke quay, vivo city, Henderson bridge. The room is really small, not much space to walking around. Free wifi for room guest. Quite clean.
