“Small but nice...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

Convenient location. We stayed here for 2 nights in a Deluxe room with large bay window and is equipped with a comfortable queen size bed and a sofa bed. The room including bathroom is clean but quite small. Walls not soundproof as you can hear noises in the corridor. Overall not bad for a budget-class accommodation.

Tough we've noticed that we'd check-in earlier when booking the room, we're still charged SGD 20. The bed's soft and comfortable, but the blanket's a bit small. The room's a bit cramped, the cupboard's small and the number of power outlet's limited, only 1 was available. There were, however, electric water boiler with some coffee and tea sets. The LCD TV set was quite large and many variety of program selection to choose. The bathroom's also small, with hot-water shower but sadly, no water spray was available in the toilet. The location wasn't our favourite, no MRT station nearby but there's a bus station located not too far away. Taxi was hard to get and more people were queuing for any incoming taxi. Overall, it's a nice hotel for those on a budget constraint, but otherwise, better look elsewhere.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I stayed here from 31 Dec 2012 – 03 January 2013.

I arrived in the hotel on 31 Dec 2012 at 08.00 am in the morning. When I want to check in, the hotel staff told me that the check in time is 14.00 pm which I replied if there is a room available “Can I do early check in?”(Considering I just had a long flight with a baby). But the hotel staff told me that the hotel room is fully occupied.

I returned to the hotel around 10.00 am after had breakfast at Hawker center near to the hotel. The hotel staff told me the room now is available now but I have to pay SGD 20.00 for early check in otherwise I have to wait until 14.00 pm. I tried to urge with him but he insist me to pay.

Since my family already very tired after long flight, I have no choice to pay SGD 20.00 without any receipt given.

I suspect the hotel staff take advantage of our condition after had long flight with a baby and the charges is not official.

I stayed here for 4 days last week. It was a nice budget hotel and the bus station just in front of it. The room is really small but adequate for 2 persons though. Most of rooms are without window, if you crave sunlight then ask rooms on the 3rd floor. They have few rooms with window and queen size bed. Twin size bed rooms are without window. The bed is comfortable also.
Location is not a walking distance but its not too far. If you want to go to the famous shopping area at Orchard, just take the bus #124, to Mustafa Center (cheap supermarket) take bus #139.
They don't serve breakfast as they don't have restaurant in hotel, but you can go just 1 block at the right side hotel and you'll small restaurant there, food are quite nice but don't expect as nice as real restaurant. Breakfast is easy tho' ;)

The hotel location is ok of you take taxi around Singapore. SGD 6 (not peak hour) to Orchard road. Bus stop situated in front of the hotel, with plenty of taxi around.

Sound proof is bad. Other customer talking at the walkway/ corridor can be easily heard. Even, the room next door can be heard as well.

I stayed here for 4 days on business last february. The walls are paper thin and the halls echo, there was so much noise that I had to stuff towels under the door, purchase ear plugs and sleep with pillows over my head. A prostitute was in the room next door and was INCREDIBLY loud through the entire night. It was absolutely disgusting. At 3 in the morning I requested that my room be changed and I was moved a couple of floors up to a room with awful mold. The smell was sickening. The same prostitute then purchased a room right above me for the next couple of nights. I never leave bad reviews, but this had to of been the worst hotel I've stayed at. I don't understand how they allow prostitutes in with so many families staying here.

This is a budget hotel. Simple in design and basic amenities provided as well. There are nearby eateries just downstairs. If you want hawker / street food, there is a nearby hawker center. For tourists, its considered low cost.

Nearby MRT Station is Novena or Newton. Take Bus Number 124 to get to either station. The bus-stop is downstairs. When you get into the bus, the station is on the left side. Ask locals for direction if unsure. Its not more than 10 bus-stops. If you miss the stop then take the same bus to the city called Orchard Road. This is a shopping paradise for all walks. Food is slightly higher in price. There are high end restaurants as well.

Hotel Check-in is very smooth, room is basic. Toilet is small however equip with toiletries. Can't fault in anything because what you pay is what you will get. A small price a small room, if you wish to explore, it's central for people to move around. Thats all to this review.

Happy hunting... :)
