“Helpful Guest Managers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Stayed on a 4-night Singapore Airlines 'add-on' after visit to New Zealand. Late evening checked in at SA stopover desk at airport to be told booking (made and paid 9 months previously) had been cancelled two days previously - no record of who made cancellation. Hotel agreed to find us room for night and to sort out next day. Much appreciated at 10pm after a long flight. Calls to UK travel agent did not resolve problem immediately but next afternoon a guest manager moved us to 6th floor room overlooking pool even though he didn't know if the cost of our room was covered. UK agent continually contacted but their records showed our booking as being reconfirmed on the date the hotel received cancellation. The hotel Guest Manager pursued Singapore Airlines local agent and on day 3 (!!!) was told there had been a 'miscommunication' and our pre-paid booking was OK. Relief all round!
A reasonable sized room, more than adequate for 4 nights - clean, cool, comfortable, no problem with bed or air con. We enjoyed the short walk to Clarke Quay and the MRT despite all the construction work. Also convenient for SA city bus and connections to Chinatown, Orchard Road, etc.
Grateful to Guest Managers. Very professional and trusting in dealing with our situation.
Set breakfast expensive if you're not a big morning eater although lots of choice.

A brief summary of experience - Great hotel, fantastic service, good location. Excellent!

Detailed review:

I needed a hotel for a short stay-cation over the weekend to celebrate my fiancée's bday, as well as our anniversary. Location wise we needed somewhere close to fort canning park, to coincide with another activity we had planned over there. Hence Park Hotel Clarke Quay, with it's proximity to the park, as well as it's reasonable room rates (booked via Agoda) was a very attractive option.

Kudos to the reception team for their great service. I didn't get the name of the lady staff, but she was very helpful and cooperative in helping my 'plant' my surprise present in my room before we officially checked in. Other staff also helped along the way, so thanks to you all too. I would also like to thank the Hotel for the upgrade to my room. Very much appreciated.

Room (at 9th floor, club floor) had a great view over the river, though some construction along the river was a bit of a spoiler. Free Wifi (with access code) was provided. Room, like many have commented, was a little small, but cozy and sufficient for 2 pax.

Overall a great stay, and highly recommended.

Some things to take note:

- Food around the area is relatively pricy, was not able to find local food that was economical, or maybe we didn't know where to look. If you don't know the place well and is on a tight budget, do remember to buy back food, or eat outside the area.
- For people keen on visiting the Fort Canning Park, do bring along mosquito repellent! We got some bites, but not sure if the hotel had some mosquitos as well, unable to verify properly.

Room Tip: Stayed in a room on the club floor, felt good. Didn't see the rooms on the other floors. Bring...

I recently stayed here for 2 nights while on business. It is very conveniently located to UE Plaza (for our office), and Clarke/Robertson Quays (for restaurants). The rooms are clean and presentable but definately not 5 star. The buffet breakfast is good without being exceptional. There is a small functional gym with some 5 treadmills/bicycles etc. The staff are friendly and courteous. Make sure if you book a kind size bed that they don't try and put you in a twin which doesn't work!!

I checked in for a mini 'holiday' based on a positive reviews on this website....but it turned out to be blah.
First, the positives.
- The tall doorman gave us a really nice pleasant greeting as well as some juice during check in.
- The location is great — near Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay .... loads of food options and nightlife. Some of the best in town.
- Harmony (hotel staff) was sweet, pleasant and polite.
- There are enough amenities for your convenience
However, on the not-so-positive side,
- Check-in was a little chaotic ... the hotel lobby does not have enough seats for all the waiting people. And that is a huge pity.....for the poor tired travelers... Front desk told me to come back at 2pm for my room because nothing was ready yet..... but at 2pm I had to queue again at the front desk..... only to be told there were no rooms available ..... thankfully the manager pitched in and got us a room immediately... There was another couple begging for a room every 2 minutes... poor guys... they were tired but LUCKY for them, they got one soon too.... however, 'crisis management skills' could have been better... for example, they could have offered to look for guests to inform them their room is ready instead of getting them to queue and ask for a room repeatedly........
- There did not seem to be sufficient deck chairs near the pool at some point of the evening...
- The bed seemed to sink in the middle... really uncomfy... I woke up with aches and pains... I'm quite sensitive to pillow height but usually most 4 star hotels provide more comfy beds.....
- Breakfast was average at best.... eggs were good though.... they ran out of juice cups at one point too....

Food recommendation — if u like Ramen, look out for IPPUDO TAO on Mohd Sultan Road (opposite the shophouses)... yummy....

Great location at Robertson Quay, within walking distance to Clark Quay. Free shuttle service to various nearby locations.

Room was comfortable but small. Didn't even have the usual luggage stool and had to leave the luggage on the floor which further restrict walking space. No bath tub either. Very comfortable beds.

Door was rather thin because we could hear sound from people along the corridor and doors closing loudly.

Stayed at the hotel after two weeks in Vietnam. The crystal club is excellent. Staff very attentive. Excellent value for money, alcohol is very expensive in Singapore ,so cocktails in the lounge were very welcome. Hot breakfast in the morning. Gave us a late check out as our flight was in the evening and let us enjoy the club facilities. Good central location. Walking distance to Clarke quay and china town.

Stayed for three nights in the crystal club. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Always smiling and only to happy to answer any questions we had. The hotel is ideally situated close to Clark Quay which has many restaurants to choose from. Check in was very professional and the rooms were of a high standard. Would recommend this hotel and would stay again if in Singapore.
