“Lovely hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2011

Just returned from a fantastic trip to Singapore and Bali and stayed here at the Park hotel.Found this to be a great choice for a few days,10 mins walk to Clark quay and very handy for other transport around. Not a great sized hotel but rather more personal and quiet, had a room on the club floor and have to say that the rooms while very small are very clean and functional . Would also like to thank Evelyn,Aries and Debra for all their help in the Crystal room, they were fantastic.
would stay here again for good value accommodation and would definitely reccommend the club floor.

Just spent 18 nights at the above hotel, service could not be faulted, breakfast was of a constant high quality and a mixed range of Asian and Western food, as for location it was not to bad once you got your bearings, a bus stop on one side of the road outside the hotel would take you into Chinatown and beyond, the other side would take you to Orchard road and all that entails. Clarke Quay M.R.T. station was about a 10/15 minute walk away. Lots of food outlets along the river at both Clarke Quay & Boat Quay, and there is a Kopitiam in Liang court centre about 6 min walk. As for the hotel room very small for a new hotel and very little storage space no hooks to hang anything.

Beautiful, small hotel, modern, nice pool, very clean, super tiny rooms.
Came in around 11:30pm from grueling hot/sticky day of sight seeing, so we were hot and exhausted. We took a quick dip in their lovely pool and came up to shower and hit the hay. We had adjoining rooms with our 2 teens, and neither shower worked. We tried 8 times to call housekeeping, front desk, and service manager to no avail. No one answered. We just came from the pool, my husband soaking wet in robe had to go down to the front desk to find the girl who worked the front desk in the back chatting it up with her friend. She apologized, called engineering and they fixed one shower, but weren't able to fix the other, so the four of us had to share one shower.
As we were checking out, we mentioned it to the front desk, they apologized, but basically didn't care. When we asked to speak to the manager regarding this, they weren't available, but gave us his email. This hotel was an American Express recommended hotel, so I guess I expected better customer service. There are so many other hotels in the vicinity, I'm sure there is another comparable hotel with better customer service.

this hotel looks fairly new and is very plush and has great location the decor of the hotel is very modern without looking too plastic . the staff are excellent and very helpful . we had breakfast which had plenty of variety, buffet style, and of good standard. the rooms are are very nice if a little small, but well serviced by the staff. the breakfast time was a bit hectic as sometimes people were queing for a table, so restaurant area could have been made bigger, as this is a busy hotel. overall a very good hotel, we got a great price, and for a 4 night stay i would say excelent value

Room Tip: good location within walking distance to chinatown

The staff at Park certainly try their best to assist you with any request. The front door staff (The men in white) and the club room staff were a joy to interact with. Raj at the pool was also cheerful and helpful despite being out in the heat all day, and trying to sell $13 beers and $8 soft drinks.

The downside....the rooms.
If you order a twin room...beware the large piece of glass on the table next to your bed...you WILL find it in the middle of the night with your face, as the glass extends far beyond the table's edge right next to your pillow. The queen rooms are the same size, which is too small for an extended stay.
Regardless of what room you order, you wont get enough room to swing a cat, your luggage will be on the floor as there is nowhere to put it, and your room will also be showing signs of age and poor build quality even though the hotel is less than 3 years old. (look at the ceiling cornices and edges)

Also, beware of glossy reviews, as the hotel staff unashamedly prompt you to write a review for them, with their assistance of course.

We stayed at Park Hotel Clarke Quay for 4 nights in April on a short break away from Melbourne, Australia.
Positives
- great location in Singapore
- excellent service and friendly staff
- great swimming pool and easy gym access
- very clean and tidy rooms
- complimentary 'shower room' after check-out before flying home, which was very useful as we had a late night flight.
- free shuttle from Hotel to Orchard road shopping and also the sister park hotels in singapore

Negatives
- Quite small rooms. We booked the Standard Room, and on arrival were advised that as they were heavily booked, we had been upgraded to a delux standard room on Level 6 of the hotel. The hotel has 10 levels. Although the room was nice and had all the amenities we expected, it was compact and meant that we didn't feel as comfortable hanging out in our room as we normally would have on a leisure trip.
- very firm mattress
- small dinning room for the buffet breakfast, however as we opted not to include breakfast in our package we found other local cafe alternatives worked quite well.

Overall, this was a very nice hotel with many positive qualities and the hotel had a great friendly feel to it, particularly the staff who were most helpful with our queries and bookings in Singapore. We would definitely recommend it for value and quality service.

I'm a regular traveller to Singapore due to business. Previously I was staying at Park Hotel City Hall but in last two stay I choose Clarke Quay.
Stayed in Club Room and have the benefits of Crystal Club. All clean, rooms are brand new and service is wonderful. People are always smiling and doing the best for the customers.
As the hotel is very close to Clarke Quay, it's very nice to have walks near the river.
