I stayed at The Quincy for only a night.
It's modern amenities and facilities
like flat screenT.V.,Wi-Fi in your room and excellent brand toiletries.Service were absolutely wonderful! I have a great stay. One of best boutique hotel and in great location.

If you are on a budget but looking for a luxury time in Orchard Road Singapore. This is the place. Although not very big, the niches and attention to detail is supered here. 3 meals a day provided, Molten Brown shower gel and shampoo.
During my stay cation, i easy walk down to Paragon shopping centre in 5 min to get what i want.

Room Tip: Ask for the 01 numbered room, they are larger

We discovered Quincy through Tripadvisor so expectations were high. We had read many of the reviews before making our choice of Quincy for a 3 day stay in late November 2012. We wanted an Orchard Road location but did not require the facilities or many restaurants of a large hotel. We sought peace and quiet and a good comfortable room. That breakfast and fee wi-fi were included in the offer was an added bonus. We noted the apparently exceptional 42inch TV facilities but did not not select Quincy on this basis as we did not expect to spend much time watching TV.

Our taxi driver from Changi Airport had not heard of Quincy and needed the exact address, thankfully Mount Elizabeth is well known and he found it easily. Check-in was quick and efficient with the security guard taking charge of our bags and delivering them to our room with commendable speed. Our room on the 5th floor was not massive but contained all we needed. The decor is very modern and this will not appeal to all. The bed was extremely comfortable with pillows to match. One of the best beds we have ever slept in (and one of us has spent hundreds of nights in hotels over the last 30 years).

Blackout was assured through an electric wall blind. The location almost at the end of Mount Elizabeth makes for a very quiet location. The rooms seemed well insulated from each other – as we returned each evening we could hear guests in adjoining rooms from the corridor, but not within our room. The insulation of the plumbing was not so effective and we could clearly hear our neighbour take an early morning shower at 6 am on one occasion. However, many hotels are worse than Quincy in this regard. Levels of room lighting, and its control, were good. There was a small desk, above which was the wall mounted 42 inch TV, with inputs of every conceivable nature. The performance of the TV was disappointing. The standard of the picture was much lower than we are used to in the UK. True, there was a large range of channels, but since so much effort appears to have gone into the TV system it is a pity it did not work more effectively. There was also a fault on some channels whilst we were there. The hotel was apologetic about this and explained that it would be fixed the following day – just as we left – so we never found out whether this cured the problem or not, whether it was a Singapore-wide issue or a Quincy one.

The room had a reasonably sized (by modern standards) bathroom containing a walk-in shower, separate bath, washbasin and WC. All in white and glass with some sharp edges to take care when navigating especially in the wet. Everything worked well. Some may not like the clear glass dividing the bathroom and bedroom but there was also a blind – a bit of a stretch to reach.

Nit-picking a bit perhaps now, but those of us that are short-sighted and still prefer to wet shave need access to a mirror quite close to our face. Quincy is not good in this regard, as you either have to lean across the quite deep washbasin unit, or turn around and use the mirrors at the rear of the bathroom, neither ideal. A small shaving mirror on the washbasin unit would solve this problem. There are the much-hyped Molton Brown toiletries for those that like them. (Not that we disapprove, but we prefer to bring our own, brands that we are used to).

Breakfast is served in the long, thin room that serves as Quincy’s restaurant. We have sympathy with another reviewer that took all meals in this room for several days and sought more variety in location by the end of his stay, but this is simply not available in the limited space at Quincy. (If you need more varied facilities then consider larger hotels like the nearby Hilton or Marriott both of which have many restaurants and bars). For 3 breakfasts, this room was fine. The breakfast was of good quality and reasonable variety. On our first morning at 07.30, the room was almost full, mainly of business people in a hurry. On our second and third mornings at 09.30 and almost 10.30, there was a much more relaxed atmosphere. On the final day we were impressed that the waiter asked us if we would like anything else shortly before starting to close the breakfast buffet at 10.30 but not a moment before. We did not feel rushed or pressurised to leave.

We did not eat in the restaurant for lunch or dinner but did use room service on one occasion for dinner. It turned out that room service is provided by the branch of Italian restaurant Modesto’s at the Elizabeth Hotel alongside. We enjoyed a good pasta dish which arrived within the time stated and was reasonably priced.

The hotel also has good, fast and free wi-fi. If you are relying on a tablet, as we were, and needed more speed or functionality, there are two large (24 inch I think) Apple screens in the foyer, which worked well on the few occasions they were needed.

Taxis were always in plentiful supply despite the cul de sac location. Most of the time we walked to Orchard Road or beyond. Depending on your pace this will take no more than 10 minutes and most likely much less. We were warned that there is a hill to walk up back to the hotel, but it is not all that steep.

All staff were pleasant and helpful throughout. Overall we were pleased we had chosen Quincy, we enjoyed our stay, and would return.

Front desk staff was very friendly and polite especially Ms. Hannessy. She gave us an excellent service in introducing features and items in the room that we sit in.
I'm as a Muslim traveller is much happier if the hotel produce a "Halal" food which is certified by a local Muslim body.
Eventhou I was told that the meat and chicken were brought in halal but the appliances and utensils were mixed with other bacon consumers.
Others than the dine-in experience, I can say that we had a very pleasant stay in the hotel and looking forward to stay there again.

Service was earnest and personal from check-in to check-out. The team was warm and sincere and genuinely tried to resolve glitches such as room arrangment and readily responded to housekeeping and turndown services. The package was holistic and my friend and I had fun throughout the whole day and came back to a friendly and thoughtful reception and a clean room! We were very satisfied indeed and would love to return for a break soon! :)

Like the other reviewers have expressed, service is excellent. Location couldn't be better. For locals who drive or tourists who rent a car, complimentary parking in the city is a boon.

But it was disappointing that the spring in the mattress was worn out. After two nights of poor quality sleep, we checked out with backaches from poor bedding support. The mattress kind of caves in like it's swallowing you up from the centre of the bed. We wanted to get a good rest and retreat away from home, but we returned home missing the much firmer support our own mattress provided.

It doesn't matter if everything rates highly, when quality sleep is something a hotel can't provide.

My girlfriend and I have a wonderful stay at Quincy Hotel. I had went to multiple hotel but none was as good as Quincy Hotel. Upon check in, we were welcome by a bottle of red wine and friendly front desk staff. The design of the room is very trendy and stylish. The swimming pool and gym is open for 24hrs. All staff are friendly are very friendly and helpful. The quality and portion of the food is good.Hand on baking classes (cup cakes) is offered at Quincy Hotel and we went. The chef and it's assistant is very professional and humorous. To make the baking classes more interesting, they even conducted a mini cup cakes competition. They even take the effort to print out hard copy recipes and send us our pictures to our personal email. i am very satisfied with the stay at Quincy Hotel. I will recommend to my friends, especially couples to come and definitely will be coming back for another staycation with my girlfriend.
