My husband and I stayed at Siloso Beach Resort (I think it's also called the Siloso Eco Resort) for 3 nights and thought it was great! Bear in mind, it's off the last Sentosa Island tram stop, but only about 10 min walk from the stop - in saying this I just want to say that if all of your activities are in the city, it's a bit of a hike, but if you're in for a mix, it would be a wonderful home base (and that's what we were going for). It's directly across from the beach, and there was plenty of space on the beach while still having some people watching potential. There's a beach bar/grill in case you're thirsty and further down the street is a cafe called Coastes that does great salads (very fresh). There's also a 5km running path directly in front of the resort on the beach side (with your back to the hotel and facing the beach, turn left and go that way. If you turn right, you're basically at the end of the strip). The breakfast is good and there's a self-operated washer and dryer available (S$5 for each). The pool is beautiful and cool - so if the ocean's too warm or you're tired of the sand, head that way. Enjoy!
NOTE: I didn't rate the spa or fitness center because we didn't use either, but they do have both.
