“Great beachfront location, relaxing stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

My husband and I stayed at Siloso Beach Resort (I think it's also called the Siloso Eco Resort) for 3 nights and thought it was great! Bear in mind, it's off the last Sentosa Island tram stop, but only about 10 min walk from the stop - in saying this I just want to say that if all of your activities are in the city, it's a bit of a hike, but if you're in for a mix, it would be a wonderful home base (and that's what we were going for). It's directly across from the beach, and there was plenty of space on the beach while still having some people watching potential. There's a beach bar/grill in case you're thirsty and further down the street is a cafe called Coastes that does great salads (very fresh). There's also a 5km running path directly in front of the resort on the beach side (with your back to the hotel and facing the beach, turn left and go that way. If you turn right, you're basically at the end of the strip). The breakfast is good and there's a self-operated washer and dryer available (S$5 for each). The pool is beautiful and cool - so if the ocean's too warm or you're tired of the sand, head that way. Enjoy!

NOTE: I didn't rate the spa or fitness center because we didn't use either, but they do have both.

Flush broke down in the ENTIRE resort in the middle of the night at about 5am. The bowl was gushing with brownish liquid. We had to sleep through the flushing noise. When we called the reception to fix it, they said there was nothing they could do. End of story. Wanted to take a dip in the pool but the water looked murky so we changed our minds. Breakfast was bleak. The sheets and duvet had brown and black spots on it. Towels were stained. Floor was dusty and felt dirty. TV was very very very small and outdated. The only thing I liked was the location of the resort. For $300 a night, I'd expected more. Not worth the price at all.

Room Tip: Don't live on the ground floor (L2). The rooms are bigger and have better views on the higher fl...

Room looks dirty with small particles on the floor. Very poor breakfast selection. Hot breakfast only consists of some hotdogs, grilled tomatoes, eggs, mashed potatoes and some others and the normal bread and fruits. The building also look old and dirty.

Only plus point is it is near to the beach and walking distance to the train station.

The swimming pool is great, very relax and my kid likes the slides. We love the breakfast area, can see the squirrels play around the trees. Food is fine although not many variety, i love the fresh bread and lasa noodles. But the room is very old, it can't be rated 4 stars instead of 3, you could hear the spring sound of the mattress when you turn around and the stool board with thousand years stain, it's horrible! Wifi signal is very weak in the room. We would consider to be back if it is renovated.

We were aware the Resort advertised the hotel as a an Eco Resort but didn't expect the rooms and public areas to be so neglected. Sure the tropical trees and plants were beautiful but nobody seems to be caring for the hotel maintenance.
Room smelt musty with dirty carpet and marked walls. We complained and were shown other rooms but all the same.
Breakfast is served in a very poor stand café off the main street. Getting a taxi to go back to Singapore or the airport took over an hour to arrive as taxis are reluctant to make a trip to Santosa to pick up passengers.
Our tip is stay in the main hotels of Singapore and visit Santosa but don't stay on the Island.

Room Tip: Check the room before you unpack.

This hotel is bit far away from the Sentosa city but it is quiet and peaceful.
The rooms and swimming pool are surrounded by plants and trees that make you feeling
living in a forest. Its convenience to go to the city by shuttle bus in 8th floor
(front desk on this floor) and the 1st floor which the tourist trams running in front
of the hotel restaurant. Food is ok and the breakfast with both European
and Asian foods, fresh fruits and juice and coffee/tea that can just good to fill up stomach.

Room Tip: Rooms on 5th floor is good, it is because the swimming pool just in front of the room door.

We stayed here for 3 days. We were a family of my wife, 4 year daughter and I.

Rooms are a bit small but not at all small.but surely bathroom is very small but neat. The bathroom shower gel and shampoo was not great quality. So were the towels which were mediocre quality.

Breakfast was continental and not too much of choice.

Swimming pool was big and very nice.

Staff was good and helpful. Whatever we required was delivered, I.e. quick service of towels, calling of taxi, speedy check in and check out.

Location is also good. There is beach tram that services you upto the monorail and sentosa bus stop. So transportation with my kid was very good.

Only problem is that after 9 pm you have to walk up as beach tram service is terminated at that time.

Overall it is not a very fancy property and has grown old and worn out. But we had a perfect holiday at siloso beach resort.
