“Ok. Not the best choice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

With the cable car and train as other choices to get to Sentosa this would be my last choice. It is nice but is a fair walk and you end up in a weird of Sentosa.

“"The only beach in Singapore - a great day getaway"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

Visiting an island and looking for the beach? Visit Sentosa boardwalk for drinks and a daytime meal, swimming or people watching. Get there by 11:00 to allow some exploration of the area around the Boardwalk - a good 4 hours would be nice, but purely walking and 'taking it in' could be done on a fast 2 hours. The beach is white sand with a view of impossibly industrial waterway (refineries, tankers, LNG ships continuously plying a short distance away), the white sand beach and restaurants are a great respite from a busy downtown Singapore week.

“Fantastic way to get to the theme parks...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

We made the decision this visit not to jump on the Express and instead walk across the Boardwalk to get from Vivo City to Sentosa for the theme parks.

Early in the morning, afternoon, or evening we found it to always be an enjoyable walk that allows you to take in some of the surrounding sights. While it's not quite as fast as the Express, I dare say it's probably a lot more comfortable after seeing some of the crowds trying to push onto the Express :)

“Very economical and beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

The boardwalk is the most convenient and economical way (SGD$1) to enter Sentosa Island. It is perfect for people for me who love to walk and also who lack the patience to wait in long queues to board a vehicle to reach their destination. The distance from Vivo city mall to the Sentosa Island is barely 15-20 mins, at the slowest speed. There are travelators along almost the entire distance of around 600-700 metres which are sheltered from the sun and helpful for those who dont wish to tire their feet in this short walk. It is a beautiful path and provides lots of photo opportunities on the way.
