2 night stay with 3 kids - Sentosa Spa and Resort went out of their way to make us feel very welcomed and pampered! Add the gorgeous peacocks coming by every morning to say hi each day - perfect! Thanks for making the family's first visit to Singapore so memorable!

My husband and I were travelling with a 12 month baby girl to celebrate her 1st birthday at the resort. We were taken away by their hospitality and kind staff. They made our stay including our celebrations most memorable. Additionally, our room service to the view was perfect. They provided us with cot for our little girl. We love the ambiance, the atmosphere and location + the peacock visits to our doorstep. :) Everything was provided to us. Sentosa bus service to the bicycle for early morning rides. The beach was 5 min walking distance. Overall perfect holiday. We thank you for the bottom of our hearts.

I got married just over the weekend and my wedding venue is at Suburbia, a restaurant which is merely 3 minutes away from Sentosa Resort and Spa resort. Since it is the nearest hotel to the restaurant & being an Accor Advantage member, this hotel is the right choice but hear me out more:

Pros:
I booked the Villa du Jardin, one junior suite and 3 deluxe rooms over the span of 3 days, with almost $5000 spending at this hotel. Too much money spent? No way. With the wave of Nadia's magic wand and impeccable service, the wonderful duty manager who truly appreciate loyal members, we were promptly upgraded and enjoy wonderful perks that a only a true 5 stars hotel is capable of. So wonderful is our first night day, not one but two relatives promptly book rooms to stay on the 2nd night here as well.

Rooms: Although a little old, but still wonderfully well-maintain and the Villa du Jardin is ridiculously HUGE with our own pool, kitchenette and a master toilet which is bigger than a condo's living room. Pretty sure after the renovation, it will give top grade Capella a good run for money.

Service: Prompt and friendly service which my family greatly appreciated. My stepfather who is your typical snobbish European commented this is the best hotel he ever stayed in Asia which is saying alot - this same man commented the Fullerton hotel was crappy, Ritz Carlton is overrated, the MBS is tacky and unfriendly etc.

Restaurant: The complimentary petite four is wonderful in the rooms, and we nearly miss our breakfast as we arrive 15 minutes before closing. A friendly local Indian lady supervisor promptly welcome us at the breakfast and even ensure we got our food before clearing the breakfast spread for good.

Location: It is indeed a wonderful break away from home; peaceful, laidback, beautiful at night and it is so charming having peacocks paying you a visit at your room ever so often. Who cares about the gleaming Orchard noisy shopping malls?

I can go on and on, but I will sum it up by saying all Singaporean or tourists should try staying for at least a night - perfect for staycation. Many thanks to the Mr Vincent, Nadia and Vinie for making my wedding weekend so amazing - even though I did not even host my wedding at the hotel itself.

First things first,
The resort is undergoing upgrades so few areas are under renovation but that does not impact visitor facilities.

The resort is located just opposite to Sentosa golf club, not very far from Sentosa Island entrance. Taxis in Singapore are very reasonable and I paid about 14$ from East Coast road to this resort.

Checkin was smooth, no welcome drink etc but I was not expecting it either. One complain I would have though, I did booking about 2 months before and opted for the best rate. I checked the rates a week before my check in dates and found a better deal than what I booked earlier. I called the call center but they couldn't do much stating their policies etc. I somewhat agree but I feel that early bookers should not be penalised, but it is the rule of the world it seems.

Anyway, i was provided room on the west wing, 5th floor, no 566. Room was spacious enough. Garden view with peacocks roaming outside. Iron board and iron was provided. Bathrobes were available. Electric kettle with proper supplies were there. A big screen to was provided with two remotes, little inconvenient to browse through channels, it requires acquired taste to do so.

Bathroom was spacious with shower area and bath tub. Toiletries Include bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, vanity kit, dental kits, hair dryer. Toiletries were of Les Notes de Lanvin, a premium brand in its segment.

The beach is not very close, it's 15 mins walk from resort. There is a walkway to beach directly from the resort swimming pool, this walkway is open from 6.30 morning till evening.

The best part was the ease of commuting from the hotel. The hotel has its own shuttles to Vivo City and Orchard Road. Sentosa bus no 3 pass from the entrance of the hotel. Hotel also provide with cards so that you can avoid entrance fee into the island in case you go to the city. Sentosa mono rail ride is also complimentary. In nutshell, free and easy commuting.

Sentosa bus no 3 takes you to beach station passing through Merlion. It's a 5 minutes journey. Way back takes more time as the bus first goes to Sentosa Cove and then comes to this resort.

Staff was generous and polite. They serve small snack item in the evening to your rooms. Complimentary water bottles are provided in the room, you can request more if needed.

Complimentary wifi is provided, speed was good enough for normal browsing and videos.

Overall a nice experience, if they could have managed the change in reservation then it would have been ideal.

One advice - do you really want to stay at Sentosa? I was advised by a friend to do so however I did not find anything amazing while my stay. The island closes by 10 PM then what is the fun in staying at this island, you can very well stay in some Singapore hotel and visit the island at your leisure. However if you wanna enjoy some resort like experience then yes, I agree Sentosa is an option, but do not expect much night life here. Beach bars also close down by 10.30 PM.

After arriving at The Singapore Resort & Spa Sentosa following a long flight from the UK, we were greeted at reception by lovely friendly staff. Our room was beautiful, very clean with a huge very comfortable bed, overlooking the gardens complete with peacocks who occasionally showed us their glorious tail feathers.
From the beautiful pool area we walked through the trees via wooden steps to the beach road, the shuttle bus takes you to the beaches and all attracions including, Mega Zip,Universal Studios, The Luge, Segway, & restaurants.
The staff at the hotel are always around to help, from reception there is a complimentary shuttle bus which takes you to Vivo City, where you can discover the delights of Singaore. Thank you to Timothy in Reservations for dealing with our booking.

Location: heights of Sentosa, not directly on the beach but accessible by stairs and free buses.
Site: beautiful area around the swimming pool
Rooms: a little dark and outdated, but spacious and the suites have two separate rooms. No balcony. Quite complex corridors. Is undergoing renovation . Beds of excellent size but mattress only good not excellent. Coffee and water and little sweets given everyday is nice.
Renovation: not disturbing at all however would not recommend to stay there whilst the swimming pool is closed as this is the central masterpiece that makes the hotel a heaven.
Swimming pool: beautiful, huge! but please keep it open until 11 pm. What better to have a night swimm under the stars? The Shangri Lah has it open much later than 7 pm!
Stairs: please keep them open after 9 pm, this is very limiting for these who want to stay later for the beaches activities.
The Cliff restaurant : too expensive for the food offered.not worth it, eat at Vivo center ( free shuttle) or on the beach ( Coastes)
Noises: the cleaning trolleys are too noisy, would advise to put rubber wheels on them!
Staff: very friendly, helpful, easy going but always trying to help which is very nice.
Minus: we have been asked for 25 dollars to warm up a baby food pot! Not acceptable ( this has been corrected but....). Would be good to have a microwave in the room.
For kids: Shangri Lah is much much better for kids, but fare enough, accord hotel is not designed for them. We still had a nice stay with the pool and peacocks and free shuttle.

Room Tip: Suites are good if you have a baby as you have two separate rooms. West wing is a bit far from All b...

Set atop a cliff the hotel is spread over 24 acres of landscaped water gardens and lush greenery, and its 33m midnight blue swimming pool is our highlight and a favourite among our guests for a leisurely afternoon swim.
