We recently spent 4 nights at The Sentosa Resort and Spa and loved it. I decided to book on Sentosa Island because it was cheaper than some of the city hotels and near many of the attractions I knew my children would want to see and it turned out to be a great decision.
We had a double and twin room which were supposed to be interconnecting, but actually are joined by a lobby which gives you more privacy. The rooms are beautifully furnished and have every amenity you could possibly want. The bathrooms had a toilet and walk-in shower both separate from the bathroom and a huge bath. Only complaint was the useless hairdryer! The cord was much too short and it barely blew warm air.
The grounds are beautiful with tropical plants, peacocks, squirrels, cockatoos and monkeys all in residence. There are lots of large and small pools around with fish and fountains in and the whole ambience is that of peace and tranquility. The hotel has a set of wooden stairs leading to the beach and also to the Dolphin Lagoon which is less than a 5 minute walk. Palawan beach close by also had good restaurants and a 7-11 store. There is also an excellent free bus service around the Island.
I did not have any treatments at the spa (unfortunately ran out of time!), but I did have a tour and it looked amazing. The service in the buffet restaurant was excellent, however, the service in the lounge bar was rather slow and it was a bit pricey.
All in all a great break and I would definitely stay here again next time.
