“Great experience & family friendly hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

The hotel is located in Sentosa and only short walking distance to Universal Studio, Aquarius, Watercove park and Sentosa Island. Upon check-in they will also gv you the monorail pass so that you can enjoy the free ride to Vivo City.

We love the spacious room! We are family of 2 adults and 2 children. Our room come with 2 Queen size bed and a pull-out bed. The room is huge, clean and comfortable. breakfast is excellent. But due to the hotel is running very high occupancy, check-in is a bit slow. Swimming pool is nice too.

Overall, we like this hotel very much and we had an enjoyable stay!

Funky Hotel
We stayed at the Hard Rock for 4 nights on our Journey home from our 3 week holiday. We thought it would be nice to unwind and relax before we got home.

From Singapore airport we caught a train to Harbourfront station. The ticket cost was about $2-3, which is nothing. Once at Harbourfront station, go up a one level and jump on the monorail to Sentosa Island. If your a guest of the hotel, you get free travel on the monorail during the period of your stay. I have to say one down fall to this way of getting to the hotel, is dragging your suitcases through Sentosa open shopping mall to the hotel front. The heat hit us and of course after 3 weeks of travel before along with jet lag, we were buggered. I normally would of just jumped in a taxi, sat back and relaxed, but as we were traveling with another family I needed to take into account their money needs. A taxi would take around 25 minutes (depending on the time of day) and it roughly around $30 (depending on the time of day and what I have been told).

Arriving at the hotel.... The heat was ridiculous and we were exhausted. We had just traveled 3 weeks around Vietnam and was so use to the hospitality. So what a reality check to hotel chances and big business. My friend asked if she could get a glass of water at check in, this request had to be made 3 times before she gave up. The Hard Rock Hotel could learn a few things about greeting their guest with a hospitable and welcoming cool drink on arrival. Saying this the check in staff were lovely. Don't forget to ask for your monorail passes when checking in.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The decor is wonderful and its great to check out everything as your making your way to your room. Arriving at our room wasn't disappointing either. The decor flowed into our room and it was just so cool. We booked a Twin double for our family and one of the beds had a pull out trundle. Beds were so comfortable and clean.

Breakfast the next morning was a little interesting. We ventured down to the hotel dinning room to make a breakfast enquiry and the cost, $30 each. A little rich for my liking, only because we were spoilt from our Vietnam holiday and thinking a family of 4 to spend $120 on breakfast each day x 4 = $480. So we took the option that a lot of hotel goes do, heading out of the hotel and into Sentosa mall. There is a bakery / dinner which does a great breakfast but be prepared it is busy. Otherwise you can just jump on the monorail and head to Harbourtown shopping centre.

The swimming pool is amazing. Sand floor base in one area of the pool and very refreshing. Nothing more needs to be said about the pool. It is what it is and it was LOVELY and refreshing.

Booking tours from the hotel was so easy and staff were very helpful. We took the family to the Night Zoo which a great, but I only wished I had organised my own transport. We took a cheaper option and I only wish we paid that little more. We opted for a coach pick up, rather then getting a taxi to the Zoo. The downfall to our cheaper option was less time. We got picked up in a smaller van then transported to the Singapore eye to get checked off a list. Then instructed to jump on a coach, then checked off another list before our trip could begin. We hit traffic and our trip took longer. Arrived at zoo and then shuttled around like school kids. There was no advantage to booking the group. I only wish I organised a private car to drive us to the Zoo. The night zoo hours are 7.30pm to midnight. By going by coach we had to leave by 10pm, which we could of slowed down a bit and enjoyed ourselves a bit more.

Overall the Hard Rock Singapore is a beautiful hotel with all the luxuries you could ask for, but you will have to pay for this.

Room Tip: Shop around for accommodation prices. They very from $200 to $450 for the same thing and the same t...

As a fan of Hard Rock hotel experience, the RWS Hard Rock pool met my experience. I applaud the life guards who made sure that the guests' safety, especially when some over excited children had sand fights. I was prepared to pay extra for a Private Cabana but not when it is priced more than the room! It is no wonder none of the Cabanas was taken. The hotel rooms were below average when compared to other Hard Rock hotels in the Southeast Asia. Some fixtures were falling apart. Reception service was poor and check in and out processes took more than 15mins per room (this excludes waiting). The hotel is huge disappointment to the Hard Rock Hotel brand.

Room Tip: Stay in another RWS hotel and just use the Hard Rock hotel pool!

Had a staycation at this hotel from 22 - 24 March 2013. Can't compare to the other Hard Rock Hotels as this was the first that we had stayed at. We had the deluxe pool view room. The pull out bed was a plus point for the kids. The high ceiling gave some notion of space as well. The corridors were a little dark but i guess that is part of the rock and roll image? We were there with the intention of going to the Marine Adventure Cove. The location to the aquarium and the water park was ideal as it was just a short walk there. The hotel pool was also nice for the kids with the powder white sand (although the pool is artificial) - I guess this is about as good a "beach" as you can get in Singapore. The kid's club was very popular when we were there. We had to make reservations but the kids enjoyed the activities (games, movies, art and craft). Realised as we walked past Fiesta Hotel that at least the Hard Rock Hotel did not have the large noisy tour groups staying there.

Had a wonderful stay at pan pacific singapore and moved in here specially for sentosa but was disappointed with their service and everything.
Check in girl took ages too accept we had a reservation there. Once she found the reservation after the glitches she told the hotel was 100% full and they would call us once the rooms are available which they did.
Stayed here specially to enjoy sentosa which we did but the hotel was disappointing.
Acter returning from universal studios checked our room and was shocked to see no doors in the toilets. Is this a hotel for the family or only lovebirds. Dint expect this at all. During the night asked them for an extra blanket and they were even more disappointing. No blankets. All we got was 2 more bedsheets which had to be used as a blanket. I mean come on man what kind of hotel is this. Even 2 star hotel provides an extra blanket if needed.
The breakfast was most disgusting for specially us who are vegetarians. The taste is bad.
The pool was amazing with its artificial beaches and everything. But sadly we dint even get the pool facing rooms. Not even one out of the 2 rooms booked were pool facing.

Overall wont ever be back to this hotel. There are many other hotels to try. I regret booking this hotel

The pool was great, and the room was clean. Hard Rock hotel need more lights, even in the lobby. We book hotel from booking.com, only a standard room, only me, husband and my 12 years old son. The room was in the corner and far from elevator on 6th floor. The room was spacious (because in the corner), quiet and sunny, because a lot of window. The room has balcony (not every room has). Every room have roll bed (single size), the size of single bed is extra single bed (130cm), and you can join the twin bed, the room fit for 2 adult and 2 children. On peak season, you must anticipate need more time to have breakfast, check in and taxi. Breakfast was good, but need time to have seat. The room was expensive, better book room with special deal, its included 2 adults free entry to USS, Aquarium and adventure cove (great value) and breakfast for 2 adults. The breakfast cost for child is good , only SGD 11. I think they need to improved the pillow quality. The air condition fan in our room is too high, and can not be adjust. We get room no. 601.
