“wonderful stay!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2009

Me and my husband visited Philippines in December, 2008 and stayed in that wonderful small beach hotel in Boracay – BEACHCOMBER RESORT. The hotel is sooo nice as well as all the stuff, especially Kim Jingco, Public Relation Manager, she was really attentive and ready to help with everything we needed. The hotel is small so the personnel react quickly to any of your needs, and there is a small but clean swimming pool there. I should say that the prices there are lower than many other hotels at the station 1 – we chose it for the best sand! The room we stated at faced the beach, though the hotel is not on the very beach, but the road you have to cross is very narrow indeed. The room was also nice, with air con and TV… I can recommend this nice hotel to anybody who would like to experience the beauty of Boracay and the hospitality of Philippines people. Olga, Russia

Spent a week with my family of 5 and had a very comfortable stay. Location was perfect. I recommend having breakfast at the beach. And then enjoy the sunset while having happy hour drinks at the Chill Out bar next door. Ask them to play Bob Marley. Wow...

The staff was always friendly and very helpful. I could see the beach from our room and balcony. The room was kept clean throughout our stay. The hot showers and massages were great! I intend to return to Boracay and the Beachcomber Resort will be my first choice for accomodations.

Just got back few days ago from boracay.
me and my gf took the honeymoon suite for 4 nights,
the room was perfect..
quite,clean,big with a nice balcony.
breakfast was ok, the pool is a bit small but we didn't even have to try it.. since the beach is just 10 sec away..

had a great time there, definitely will recommend my friends to go and check it.

Enjoyed staying at Beachcomber Resort, a very well run hotel.
Apparently I was upgraded from superior to deluxe, but I think the only difference is the room is larger and there is an extra queen bed, all other furnishings and bathroom area seemed to be the same.
It seemed as though the bathroom had been recently retiled which was nice, but they had kept the original bath and fixtures, as the metal plug in my bath was unable to prevent water from escaping and if i tried to have a bath i had to run the tap constantly to maintain correct water levels! Though to be fair, to even have a bath at all is a big plus for most hotels here in Boracay.
They had several choices for their breakfast menu, all of which were nice but not exceptional. You would arrange the night before what time you would like your breakfast brought to you and they would ring ahead to say it was coming....top marks for this bit of service, you could even decide where you would like to take your breakfast, be it room , poolside or beach chair.
The security guard that was on duty on most of my nights there was very friendly, not overbearing as some i have experienced in the past, especially if you have invited a friend to your room. Top marks for him.
I give staff here a A+
The hotel i will give a B+ as it could not be called luxurious but certainly it was clean and suitable, though a change of curtains and bedspreads may 'freshen' the rooms up a bit.
Location is great, this end of the beach is much nicer and less cluttered, the Beachcomber's beachchairs are brought out on request and you feel a little 'exclusive' as there are no others in the immediate area.
One other thing I have to mention. When i was arriving with SEAIR my original flight had been cancelled and i was bumped to a flight 3 hours later. When i arrived the Manageress told me she had rung SEAIR to find out what had happened to me, though they didnt tell her anything. The fact that she even took the time to ring about me I found impressive.
SEAIR are pretty good too, their transfer arrangements into Boracay are excellent, their planes could be cleaner, 3 cockroaches landed on me from the overhead lighting

  • Liked — good location, clean, well run
  • Disliked — pool could be cleaned a bit more

We arrived at the Beachcomber in the pouring rain. It was so nice to recognize the hotel. It looks exactly like the pictures. When you come in on tricycle you pass many different places that do not look so appealing, it was nice to arrive and see a clean friendly facility. Kim and Sandra were wonderfully helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay there enjoyable. Our room was always clean and cool. And the hot water always worked and had pressure. Our breakfast was always warm and even they served it to us on the beach!
They endorsed Rod who was amazing! If you want to do anything in Boracay from island hopping to scuba diving to para sailing he is the guy to talk to. He was so helpful and went beyond what we ever expected as he found out I needed a permit to take the bolos he had helped me find off the island. He went w/ us from place to place and finally to the mayor's office to get the permit.
All in all our stay was wonderful and I would definitely stay there again.

when we arrived we were not too happy of not having a hotel just in front of the beach but then we have a great experience. the location is very central and convenient. Not noisy at all. good price for quality. People is super nice and respectful, after 2 days I was feeling at home. the rooms are very good, they upgraded us to the honey moon room and it was clean, spacious and very nice! the swimming pool was fantastic and refreshing after a long day of salty and sandy beach. The breakfast is simple but with the option of filipino food ( I tried them all !! the best: tocino the not too good: corned meet ) also ask always for iced tea the mango juice is not natural one ... sad

  • Liked — people food room swimming pool
  • Disliked — no natural mango juice
