I actually picked to stay at Asya from all the reviews on trip advisor. The pictures of the hotel were beautiful, and once we arrived there, it definitely didn't disappoint! The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. Every night we requested for massages, sometimes with only 30 min. lead time and they never disappointed. Perfect examples of Visayan hospitality.

We stayed at the best room, on the third floor overlooking the pool, which was good since we needed the exercise from the delicious free breakfast buffet. I was a little hesitant at first to book here, since it's not right on the beach. I was actually going to book at Friday's, but am glad that I didn't. Asya is central to everything, and made up for not being beachfront by having their own cove. The cove is a lot better since you're not bothered by vendors, plus they have free rentals of snorkeling gear and kayaks.

I will definitely stay again at Asya when I come back to Boracay. Boutique hotels are so much better than the larger ones, with everything so personalized and accomodating to the client. I have traveled all over the world and stayed at 5-star hotels, but you really can't get any better than Asya with their beautiful hotel and amazing hospitality. Thanks Asya!

Decided to stay at the Asya based on the reviews on this site and certainly was not disappointed with the choice. Having been to Boracay in 2006 and stayed at Fridays, we were looking for something slightly cheaper and more central as we were only there 2 nights and the Asya seemed to tick all the right boxes based on the reviews.

On arrival at Caticlan airport we were picked up by the Hotel's transport and were quickly taken by boat and jeep to the hotel. The hotel is not right on the beach but only about 2 minutes walk up one of the side streets which certainly was not a problem and actually was a benefit as it was quieter. Lovely big comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and some nice touches like free beers and soft drinks in the minibar.

Overall excellent location, friendly and helpful staff and good value for money.

Only complaint was the noise from construction work but this seems to be the same anywhere on the island and did not bother us too much

We visited Boracay for the first time this past April. We are from the US but I have family in the Manila, Mtn. Province and Baguio City. We have family reunions every 3-5 years but none of us had ever been to another island in the Philippines. We chose to go to Boracay for it's popularity and chose ASYA after reading all the reviews on TripAdvisor. We wanted a family friendly place, near the beach, with a nice pool and we all (8 adults, 4 kids, 1 baby) just wanted to be able to relax!

Our expectations were met & definitely exceeded! The staff was excellent and the accommodations were wonderful. The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms clean, the pool was family friendly and the staff were all very courteous- always smiling! They always greeted me by name whenever they saw me and my family! The restaurant staff also had a high chair already set for us in the morning as they anticipated when we would be eating with our baby! We also had 2 little toddlers that the staff were very accommodating towards as well.

It is a beautiful place - a relaxing refuge from the busyness of the beach area. We have traveled a lot in the USA, and this type of resort would have cost us anywhere from $300-$500 US/ night. So to pay under $150 for this place was an incredible deal for us! And a massage in the US costs $100. At ASYA, we could pay $10-$15 for a poolside or inroom foot or body massage. Definitely luxurious for us! The value for us was outstanding!

The only warning I would give to US folks or any Western person that has not traveled much or seen third world countries, is that the surroundings of ASYA (and much of Boracay) is a third world environment. So, after getting on the speedboat and getting on the open shuttle to ASYA, the trip there may surprise you if you expected a wealthy environment. It is not so...but entering ASYA, you would never realize this. So this is not a negative comment about ASYA but rather I am stating that ASYA is a beautiful place, within a third world environment. Also, once you walk a few blocks to the coast -- it is so magnificent!

We would definitely stay in ASYA again. I highly recommend this place!! Thank you to the ASYA staff. You are wonderful people doing an excellent job. Once we returned to the US, we could not stop talking about how wonderful & relaxing our vacation was in Boracay!

Booked via phone. All questions and concerns were answered. Due to changes to the flight schedule, our 3 days & 2 nights package was cut short. The resort called us to inform us of the flight change.

There was someone waiting at the airport and drove us to the local dock. From there, a private speedboat took us to the resort's private cove. One of our companions has mobility issues and the staff gently guided her onto and off the boat. The van could be a bit high for someone of short stature or again, someone with mobility issues, but can be managed with a sturdy stepstool.

From the cove, was another van ride to the resort. Cool welcome fruit drink was given to us and the bags were brought to the respective rooms by the staff. We were given an orientation of the room and the amenities. Free buffet breakfast was provided daily and the selection was plenty. The food at lunch was also tasty, although the chocolate shake could use more ice cream and less chocolate syrup and the french fries were raw. One should note that Travesia restaurant is run by a different company than Asya Resort.

The cove has 2 areas, the beach area and the view deck. Kayaks, personal flotation device, snorkels and such are provided. There were several lounge beds which was unfortunately not cleaned of dried bird droppings. The shore also had plastic litter and sea detritus. There was no hammock unlike in the resort's picture of the site. The viewdeck has bigger lounge beds but the mattresses were piled haphazardly to one side. The steps going to the viewdeck & the viewdeck itself was littered with goat(?) droppings. The women's toilet was well-maintained; I have no idea about the men's toilet as I did not go there. There were outside showers with flexible shower hoses.

The resort is not facing the shore but it is just a 3-5 minute walk to the beach, depending on one's speed.

The rooms were very spacious, decor tasteful contemporary, beds were comfortable, and the rooms looked just like in their website. There was a towel rack provided outside the room for wet articles. The shower area was very spacious and has a rain showerhead, flexible wand and tap. The toilet's with 2 strength buttons to conserve water. Thick towels. Robes. Non-slip floors. Complimentary drinks in the fridge. Massage tables set up by the staff. Rooms insulated from neighboring sounds.

Pool lit at night, comfortable lounge chairs, telephone by the pool area. Complimentary photo developed within a day. Staff did their best to accomodate the client's request, such as provide a masseuse on a short notice made almost at midnight. The masseuse arrived within 15 minutes of request. We had a packed lunch because we left before breakfast buffet opened. That was a very pleasant surprise indeed.

Service was generally professional and friendly. Tipping was centralized and done at the end of the stay. All in all, had a wonderful stay at Asya Resort. You should go!

they charge for bed sheets and towels u "stained" w/ henna. i paid about Php 2,000 w/ no questions asked. when i got home and washed them all, they happen to be just dirt and are simply removable w/ regular laundry powder. I havent even attempted to bleach the white sheets since the asya boracay staff says it's permanent and in no way can be salvage. so we are charged for them to replace whet we "destroyed." the "stains" (as lil as a specks) just went off like any other regular soiled blankets after bein machine washed. .. t'was really a hassle bringin a bag of hotel sheets i "allegedly stained". I talked to my friends who've been to asya boracay bout their experience and we actually share the same fate. could this be a gimmick? they thought they're framed. i really cant tell. i just wished they're more considerate in charging clients.
