My husband and I 'escaped' station 1 and 2 but coming to Artista. You will notice that many hotels on Boracay received above 4/5 ratings. We stayed at a highly rated inn near Station 2, and the noise was disturbing to us - Coming to the beach, you really do expect to listen to the waves, rather than the trucks, dogs and roosters.
Artista offers the serenity that we were expecting, without paying too much for the rooms. Most of the rooms have ocean views, the rooms are clean, and the beds are decent. While Artista does not offer a huge dining or drinks menu, or other services like spa treatment, it is located right next door to Nami Resorts which has everything else.
Artista is on a beach that is not too crowded, so for families that are seeking refuge without the crowds this is a nice section of the beach to consider.
Travel to D'Mall is not far, and typically you would pay a moto-Tuk-Tuk to take you for about 100 to 150 PHP per ride.
We enjoyed our stay at Artista, and would come consider staying here again if we return.
