Stunning beach with crystal clear water, but that’s where it ends. The Island is unfortunately aiming at cheap tourism. Loads of dirty cheap little restaurants and hotels, all filled with Russian and Chinese groups. You can’t move 5 Meters on the beach without being accosted by someone trying to sell you plastic sunglasses, hats, boat-trips, or anything from stone Jesus statues to Coconut apes! Even on the rented sun beds they swarm around you like flies. Loud drunken tourists shouting at each other or Chinese swimming with their cloths on! They somehow managed to stop smoking on the beach, but maybe they should spend more energy on getting rid of the hawkers. Not my idea of the idyllic island in the sun. Pity with the right management it could be the Asian Caribbean. I will certainly never return.
