We Stayed in the Red Coconut in November with family and friends. It is in a great location, in the centre of everything and beside D mall where there are shops and restaurants and a supermarket.
The hotel is old style but very clean and comfortable, we had a room to the front on the 2nd floor, it was the perfect place, we had a view of a bit of the sea! The floor is important, the 2nd floor is as high as you want to go as there is no lift although if you don't mind running up and down them then the views of the sea are better the higher up you go.
There is a lively bar in the front of the hotel but everything in Boracay closes early 12.30ish and there is silence!
We had breakfast there each morning and it was lovely but you wouldn't want to be in a hurry, service is very slow still that's what holidays are for, slowing down!I can recommend the fresh juices and shakes.
The wifi is strong in the lobby but I couldn't get it in my room.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the hotel opens on to the beach but the road is down a long pathway through which you have to take your cases. The staff will come out and take them for you if you have one of your group go ahead and ask them. The same problem will arise with any of the beach front hotels in the area.
I would certainly stay there again I thought it was great value and a great location.
