This was our third stay at Dave's Straw Hat Inn in less than 12 months, and without a doubt, we will be back there just as soon as possible. Dave & Janet and their wonderful staff always go out of their way to make sure our stay is as comfortable as possible, and it is the attention they give to the smallest details that make it more like a home-away-from-home than just another resort visit. I not only recommend Dave's Straw Hat Inn to all my friends and other travelers I meet, but I actually brag that bungalow #5 is like my own little private escape to paradise. (Dave's even tries to reserve the same room for us so return stays are even more comfortable and familiar... remember,it's the 'little details'.) Dave's Straw Hat Inn gets our vote as THE BEST!!!!!

First time to Boracay so relied on past reviews. I tried to book through a hotel site but stated it was full. I decided to contact them directly via email and lucked out. Upon arrival, we meandered through the walkway by following the signs and my wife was starting to worry about what I had booked for us. All of a sudden we passed through the entry gate and it was beautiful. The grounds are well-kept, staff is super helpful and very friendly. The rooms were very clean and the food was great. The entire staff even came out to wish us well on our next destination upon check-out. I highly recommend this place, I travel a lot and have not encountered a place such as this. My wife continued to compare the following hotels at the rest of our stops to this one and wished we had stayed on Boracay just for the comfortable accommodations.

I stayed at Dave's with 3 friends and we all loved it...the rooms are perfectly clean, the garden seems like an oasis and the food is really good. They provide a lot of little services which ensure a relaxing stay there...massage in your room, books to rent for free, laundry, internet, restaurant... It's a nice place to relax as it's very quite but still all the bars and restaurants are within walking distance. Dave's is near station 3 and I think that this part of the beach is better than around station 2, it's not that crowded and you always find a free sun chair and an umbrella (if you stay at Dave's you can also use the facilities of Blue Mango which is right on the beach).
But the best thing was the friendlyness of the staff. They really care about you and try to make your holidays as nice as possible.

We spend a couple of days at Daves and would have liked to stay longer, but this place is often fully booked. So be early to enjoy this jewel.

Staff is extemly friendly and helpful, which makes you really feel like home. This was the perfect address for the first days on the Philippines.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and have aircondition, fan, TV, private bath and WLAN access.

Next time we definetly go for this place again.
