“Great location, awesome beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2013

Situated on the best part of the long beach in Boracay this hotel is quite dated and is going through a room by room renovation. The service was above average, staff was attentive. Biggest bummer was the lack of Wifi in room. It was a good thing we brought our own mobile hot spot. Food was very good, always enjoyed the Mango Shake. Pool is shaded and is always a great escape when it gets too hot.

Room Tip: pick ocean front, worth the extra cost

Stayed for 3 days. Overall the stay was as pleasant as it is. Everything was fine except for some minor stuff.

1. Doorknobs is busted. You thought its locked but it isnt.
2. Mosquitos are everywhere.
3. Food is rather salty or too sweet.

But they were kind enough to upgrade my room to a pool view room. (No signs of view though, its just downstairs near the pool.

Nevertheless it was a pleasant vacation, staff were attentive, guards are roaming around 24/7 to keep you safe.

P.S Their Beachfront is the best out there. Plus to those whose gonna check in. See it for yourself.

Room Tip: Ocean View Rooms are your best bet!

Spent just 1 night here and glad it's over otherwise my holiday in such a beautiful island would be ruined.

The only good thing about this hotel is that its located on the best stretch of beach in boracay, BUT, that's only the restaurant part. The rooms and pool are located on the opposite side of the road.
Hotel is very old. Shower knobs are broken, shower heads are old and stucked hence water pressure is very low. Took very long to finish a simple shower, and still doesnt feel clean after that. Entrance to toilet and cupboard door are old wooden sliding doors, rusty and heavy.
Air con controller is not working hence was sleeping the whole night with 17'C air blowing right at my face.
Pool is so small and doesnt look clean.
Pricing is considered very inappropriate for this kind of standard.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013 via mobile

We stayed for 5 nights recently. The best about the Pearl is the location it is at the end of station 1 which means you get the quietness to enjoy the private strip of the white powdery beaches and its only a short walk to the bars/restaurants/shops of station 2.
We also really liked our room it was huge with great facilities such as massive bed, fully equipped bathroom, sofa, fridge, dvd player, powerful air con and a lovely balcony. The hotel provides the little touches like a cold drink on arrival, comp mineral water, toiletries, beach towels, really good loungers. It has a great strip of the beach, big dining area and a bar. Much of that is in shady areas. It also has a tiny pool (you won't need it sea too nice)
The food is fine we ate a buffet breakfast each day a balance of local and continental/English. We had toast, cereal, fruit and pancakes with scrambled egg most mornings. It is of course all you can eat. We also had a reasonably priced lunch of pizza, fries etc We also had a evening meal of candlelit bbq on the beach. Its not amazing there are so many excellent places to eat on Boracay but it is good and convenient.
The really great thing about the Pearl is the staff. They are super friendly and really helpful. There are 24 hrs guards who will help you cross the road, hail a cab and watch your stuff while you swim. The beach traders can get a little much, they stop this. The best by far was a guy called Effran one of the guards he was super friendly : )
The only criticism is some of the furniture/fittings is quite dated. The place needs a re vamp.
We loved the location, staff and our room. We had a beach front suite room 109 we think it was one of the best rooms. Overall an excellent hotel with great staff.

If you're looking for a place to unwind and get some good rest, Pearl of the Pacific is the perfect place to check in! The breakfast was good and the view of the beach was great. We stayed at the poolside so everything in the resort was accessible and our WiFi signal's pretty descent compared to the connection I got from coffee shops. All in all, i'll give this resort a perfect 5!

LOCATION
- The property is in station 1
- It's not crowded, so this was a plus
- Went here September, though, and Boracay as a whole, was not crowded at all
- The hotel property is split in 2
- One part is beach front, where Ocean View rooms are
- The other part is at the back, on the other side of the road
- Where there's almost 0 view of the ocean
- Can't complain, as they say, you get what you pay for =D
- The road is just a few meters wide, by the way
- So, crossing it isn't really a problem
- Plus, their security guard was always alert and ready to help stop the traffic =D

ROOM
- We were 3
- The size was okay, just enough
- It wasn't too small but it was not really spacious either
- The door to the bathroom was really noisy though
- It's a pretty heavy wooden door that doesn't slide that well
- I liked the bed, linens, pillows, etc
- It had cable tv, a/c, hot and cold shower, safety deposit box
- And oh, we had a veranda =D

STAFF
- Always attentive
- Requests were dealt with ASAP

EXTRA
- Has strong wifi in the reception area
- It was not supposed to reach our room, but it did!
- A plus for me was the pool
- It was small but it did its job
- Was able to do a few short laps, so all is well

FOOD
- Oh men, this is probably one of the main reasons why I can't say that this is great place
- The food is edible, don't get me wrong
- It's just that it's either too salty, too sweet, or doesn't really taste much at all
- I'm a bit of a weirdo when it comes to rating the taste of food
- But my friends also said the same thing (and we really don't share the same taste buds, at all), so I know that it wasn't just me
- The serving is hefty, though, so I have zero complaints about that

OVERALL
- It was a pleasant stay
- For the price we paid, I can't really complain
- If I will be presented with the same offer, I will definitely grab it and stay here again

Room Tip: - Rooms facing the garden or pool should have wifi reception - We stayed at the far end of the gard...

We stayed here as a group of 5 for New Years in Boracay and loved it, we were very sad to leave. We stayed in the beachfront rooms upstairs and can't really fault the rooms with the exception of the bathrooms which needed a little TLC.

The great part of this resort is that the beach is somewhat extended into the resort which means it's possible to hang out on the beach and not be constantly accosted by the beach merchants. We spent most of each day lounging in the sun sipping cocktails in perfect bliss.

This resort is well up the other end of the beach away from the chaotic end where the beach is basically a mall.

The only downside we encountered was the service was rather slow and sometimes stuff we ordered just never arrived and i don't recommend ordering western food here either.

We were obliged to pay for the New Years Eve dinner which we weren't happy about but the food and entertainment was great even though it was starting to rain!

All in all we can't really fault this place and would definately stay again.
