I have to say that this hotel was much more than we could have ever expected. Our experience from start to finish was one that has made us decide that we will return to Boracay and stay at the Regency once again.

The location of the hotel is perfect and in an area where you never need to leave the beach in order to eat, drink, shop or have a little fun for the evening, The eateries are countless and there are lots of little convenient stores along the beach where you can buy soft drinks, beer or snacks. There is an outdoor shopping area called, "D'Mall" and there are lots of shops to find souveniers, swimgear and much more. There are also lots of dive shops in the area of the beach that will set up dives for those who are interested.

Everyone at the hotel was very courteous throughout our stay and the checkin process was hassle free and very welcoming. Our room in the "Garden Room" section was gorgeous and very clean. The a/c in the room was incredible and we were VERY comfortable thorugh the night. Our room overlooked the sparkling blue pool with the swim up bar and we enjoyed sitting on our balcony at night before going to bed.

Aside from the most awesome customer service from all of the hotel staff, the breakfast buffet in the SeaBreeze restaurant was top notch! We have been to many Philippine resorts and have never seen a buffet so accomodating to both the American culture as well as the Filipino culture. The spread was huge and the varieties were countless. All of the food was fresh and the wait staff was very efficient. There is even a chef behind the buffet that will make you a custom omelette however you want! This was quite the change from our usual buffets of nothing but white rice, dried fish and fake eggs.

The hotel is located on the beach and you can reserve the beach chairs in the morning with one of the beach staff from the hotel. They are free to rent and the young men that work the beach area are all accomdating throughout the day. It is not required however we tipped him daily for making everything so convenient while we lounged on the gorgeous white sand beach. There is also a waiter who will serve you cocktails from the bar and teh prices are very very resonable, especially at happy hour which is from 4-7pm. Buy one, take one!! Once again, tip not required but the service was so good that we couldn't go without recognizing the excellent service. These guys work hard and deliver service with a smile.

Room service in the hotel is 24 hours which was such a plus for us! The prices are very good and it was speedy delivery as usual. Food items are all tasty and hot when delivered and we had a good experience each time we used room service.

Definitely worth the money and we will be going back again for New Year's. I give this hotel a 10 on ascale of 1-10 and I highly reccomend it to eveyone.

Before I send this though, there is one thing that I do want to say about the hotel that you might need to know. The bathroom entry way has a 1 inch high level difference (drop off) from the hotel room floor so be very careful when walking out of the bathroom or you may smash your toe into it, especially if you have had too much to drink). There really should be a flange in place to prevent this from happening to anyone so just be careful.

After my flight from Canada (18hrs ) I stayed in Manila for 2 days with my best friend Emil who lives there,, he looked after me, made all the arrangements for me to visit the Philippines for 16 days. We both then took off to Boracay. We decided to just find a hotel to stay in for 3 nites. We chose the Regency, and the hotel manager was very pleasant. We got our room and the price was right. We found the staff were very friendly and any requests were promptly attended to. Even the security people were friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, everthing I expected a hotel room should be.
Room service was excellent. Our return flight was at 7 oclock in the morning so to get to the airport required a boat trip in the dark and we asked the hotel management if they could arrange to get us to the airport. They supplied us with a security guard and a boat, and made us feel safe. We arrived at the airport on time. When I go back to Boracay, the Regency will be my first pick.

We checked out today after staying at the Boracay Regency for two nights. Actually we moved to the Boracay Regency after staying one night at the horrible Boracay Hills, which we decided to leave two days earlier than planned.

Because our booking had been made the previous evening through Agoda, the Boracay Regency had yet to receive our information when we arrived to check in. A confused lady in the reception made me wait for approximately 10 minutes before she finally said that I would have to print out the confirmation voucher we received from Agoda. While the reception lady directed me to the business center to print out the voucher, I was charged for both the internet and the printing although I explained the situation in the business center. When I have had to print a voucher at other hotels in the past, the fee has always been waived, but of course everything in the Philippines is cheap and usually not worth arguing about.

On checking out from the hotel, the reception spent a good 15 minutes to get my bill ready. This should be unnecessary, in particular as I gave them a 12 hour notice about my check-out time (so that the hotel could provide transportation to the airport). They also asked me to wait while they had someone check that I had not taken anything from the minibar! Perhaps the hotel mistook me for a criminal and decided to be extra careful.

However, except from the incompetent staff in the reception, this is a wonderful resort. It has several hundred rooms in addition to a number of pools and restaurants. The amnesties in our deluxe room were what you would expect from a four star hotel, though nothing more.

I would not hesitate to stay at this resort again in the future, but I would probably try to look around to see what other alternatives are available. For example, the Zuzuni Boutique Hotel (only four rooms!) looks like an interesting alternative to staying at a gigantic impersonal resort like Boracay Regency.

I stayed at Boracay Regency for 3 nights in July 08, it was very comfortable. I was a walk-in and I was treated like royalty. The best thing I like about the Regency was the food. The breakfast spread is probably the best on the island. There are so many selections. The evening meal is just as good. I booked a deluxe garden room and it was very clean and decorated nicely. There was plenty of hot water for long showers. The beds are very big and comfortable. This hotel is very nice. I am going to Boracay again in this November 9-12. I will bring my wife and her parents for a short get-a-way. We will stay at Boracay Regency for 3 nights.

Where do I start.
From the time we checked in we were welcomed by very professional front desk staff. The front desk manager was so helpful and my boyfriend was so suprised how switch on they were.

We original booked a superior but upon finding out we had to wait i requested to be upgraded to a deluxe room, the girl that served us advise that there's promo and they will be applying it to our booking.. wow I didnt even have to ask.

The room was beautiful and even though it rained alot while we were there we were able to enjoy ourselves.

The breakfast was amazing, love the food , love the variety.
same for the dinner buffet.. all the staff were attentive especially the male waiters.

Because it rained while we were there we didint get to do much outdoor activities.. just a visit to the D'mall, Talipapa, walk on the beach..

As for food, I highly recommend Aria..love love their Mango cheese cake. I was so worried about my boyfriend not being able to find food to eat that when we got there he was so amazed by the variety of places to eat.

Plus he commented on how well everyone could speak english..

The only downside was the hawkers, after a while they got really pushy and annoying.. but thats about it.. oh yeah and the rain..

But I will be back.. maybe as soon next year...
