Do not waste your time and money on this place. As we were waiting for our rooms, we sat watching construction going on right above the wave pool. Sparks and debris were falling into the pool that had guests in it. When our rooms were finally ready, we walked through hallways and atriums still under construction. Plastic sheets were the walls and you could see the dust in the air. The rooms were dusty, some walls and parts of the ceiling obviously not finished and the overwhelming paint fumes that filled the room. After refusing to stay in these rooms , they tried to appease by offerring rooms that were in worse conditions. The room number was on a piece of paper taped to the door. Front desk staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. After being told that these unfinished rooms were the only rooms they had and there was nothing they could do, I gave up this hours long battle with this hotel and decided to walk up and down the beach for another hotel, which I did find in the beautiful and friendly Ambassador in Paradise Hotel. Even knowing that since I prepaid for the Regency and given their attitude the chances of getting my money back was zero, I would rather double pay for my hotel than to spend another minute in the Regency. It was clear that they didnt care about us enjoying our vacation, but the way they had construction going on everywhere and offering rooms with paint fumes to families with small kids, this hotel is a disaster waiting to happen. The health and safety of the guests were obviously not a concern for the management of this hotel, not to mention customer satisfaction. Also had a friend who went there around the same time and they had a similar experience, and ended up looking for another hotel to salvage their vacation. When people will end up throwing away money just to get out of this hotel, you have to know it is bad.

Also far from the beach and crossing that road is not recommended for families. You can find many hotels along the beach so you will be better off looking for something other than this place

I know that as an American I have high expectations, but at least if I stayed in an American hotel where the advertised Internet didn't work, there was no hot water at any time during our stay, there were spiders and webs in the bathtub (obviously a lack of cleaning), a half an hour wait after registering just to get the key, no exercise room in a hotel this large, swimming pool with a sewage smell, and a loud musical fountain that tends to go late into the night, we'd most likely be offered some concession (for the lack of hot water, at least). Unfortunately, not here. I didn't even mind the 5 minute walk to the beach across a pretty dangerous road, but a hotel of this size just doesn't seem to have it's act together. To me, this is a worse situation than our small hotel in Palawan that only had electricity half of the day since they didn't pretend to be a big name resort. At least that hotel had laundry service; this one doesn't.

We check in at the hotel at 7pm but before that when we are going to this hotel via a transfer provider at first you will notice that they have a huge tv screen outside featuring their hotel, very nice its like your in vegas, once you get off from the van you have to take a look at the top coz they have this aquarium as you can see the fish, they have also this huge lobby, this hotel is not beach front, you have to walk 3 to 5 mins to the beach, across is the bank, short walk to d'talipapa for fresh seafood and a lots of restuarant, not too far to d'mall, just take a tricycle, takes 5 to 7 mins, but for me I'd rather to walk from the beach going to d'mall, takes 10 to 15 mins but its ok there are so many things you will take a pic while walking on the beach....

Inside of this hotel they have a convenient store open 24hours, we stay at their junior suite, a very nice loft type room, 2 tv's , 2 bathroom and 2 cabinet,

Food is very good, and also they have this a huge wave pool, and a kiddie pool.

Overall it was remarkable experience in this hotel,

Highly recommended......

Location: The hotel is not beach front. It will take you about 10 mins walk to the beach. It is located at the back of beach, station 2 nearing station 3. The hotel is along the road so you can take a tricycle if you with to go to D'Mall or to Station 1 where the sand is the finest.
Pool: The wave pool is amazing! It operates 10am-12nn and 2pm-4pm. They have kiddie pools which is great if you are traveling with kids.
Check in/out: The check in and out is superb. No long queues and the staffs are very accommodating and helpful. The receptionist always gives a pleasant smile. They offered us a nice cold drink while waiting.
Staff: The staffs are friendly. They will always greet you each time you pass by. This is uncommon to most hotels nowadays.
Rooms: The rooms are very tidy. They have great clean sheets and comfortable pillow. They have thick and warm bathrobes in the dresser. Coffee and Tea making facilities. Their toiletries are abundant, replenishing them daily. They have a mini refrigerator too.
The only downfall is the location. If you are very eager to swim in the beach or relax in the white powdery sand, you have to sacrifice the walk to beach.
