“Great stay at Ocean Breeze Inn. :)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

Stayed a couple of days at Ocean Breeze. True enough that the review pertaining to this Inn was correct. They provide the best accommodation suited for backpackers like us. We get 2 types of room and both are okay. Guestroom good for group of 4-6 pax was great. Room is clean, A/C is functioning well, shower is okay plus the heater, veranda and sala is cozy. It literally feels like home. Same thing goes for NIpa Hut Cottage, it is clean and nice.

Staff was very accommodating and easy to approach. They immediately attend to your needs, no need to stress yourself in dealing with them since all of them are easy to deal with. You can request for some stuffs like blanket, rugs etc. There is a kitchen available as well for guest wherein you can cook your meals if you need to, utensils are free of charge and use of stove and cooker is for minimal charge only and they offer free coffee in the morning which is automatically serve in your doorstep. They actually exceed my expectations and we get very satisfied.

What I enjoyed most in our stay is that their location was really serene. It is really quiet. Location is not situated at the best part of the beach, you have to walk few minutes to reach the beach front and main road. Overall stay in Ocean Breeze was great. Highly recommended for backpackers. Rest assured, you will have the same experience I have. Will surely get back here.

my husband and i stayed there for 3 nights, at guest house rooftop aircond room located on the 3rd floor. only 2 minutes walk to the beach, quiet and very near to the main road. easy to find tricycle if you are planning to ride a tricycle to puka beach (php100) or station 1 (php 60).

if you are planning to have a quiet place to stay near to the white beach, i am recommending this place. it is cheap if you can get the smaller room, but rooftop aircond room is quite big with huge balcony, hotwater shower.

the only problem when i stayed there was the toilet flush, because it wasnt working. the wifi also not working on the rooftop, only groundfloor and 1st floor. wifi u have to pay php50 per device.

however, if you are coming to boracay for the night clubs, i recommend you to stay at the station 2. and.. if you are planning to walk from station3 to station 1, make sure you are fit enough because it is quite far, about 5 kms. i recommend you to ride a tricycle.

the best part, they will serve you coffee in the morning.

Room Tip: higher floors have less access to wifi.

we stayed at ocean breeze for 3 nights... the staff are very friendly and accommodating. we arrived at night time (between 9-10pm) and the staff waited for us and even fetched us since the gate was already closed. they also sent text messages asking where we were, etc... every morning when we woke up, coffee is already at our table. :) plates, cups, and other utensils are available upon request. the rooms & bathrooms are clean. if you are looking for a budget friendly place to stay, this is the right place for you. thanks to Ms. Emmy and her staff.. :)

In short, you cannot get a much better stay then this. Sure, it is not up to Shangri laa standard, but you are not paying that price either. After a several week long stay I can honestly say that this place is great. Fantastic price for what you get, fantastic staff with a sence of humor, and a friendly owner who really went out of her way to help me set up a suprice for my familly before I arrived.

This is one of the VERY few places around the world that I truly felt like the staff was not only doing their job, but that they genuinly was interested in making your stay as goosd as possible. For instance, at the checkout day I asked the staff about one of the fruit trees in the garden. And the guy then quickly climbed up the tree, just to pick a fruit and show me. I have never, ever, experienced something like this before.

If you want a good stay, but still a great price, and feel like "home away from home", this is the choice for you! With this place you will afford to have a longer stay at white beach.

* Location. This place is a few minutes from the beach. It is not a difficult walk, and it is not scary after dark. It is a little hard to find and it is a blessing as salesmen, beggars etc dont come up to the place. Also, the few minutes distance makes if totally quiet at night.

* Pickup service. As some people stated here on tripadvisor, they had a hard time finding this place. I am a bit supriced that not everyone used the pickup service offered by the inn. It is very likely the lowest cost pickup service on all of white beach. A guy will be waiting for you at the airport and guide you safely the whole way.

* Ants. Yes, you will see a few ants. This is Asia. If this is too much for someone, I suggest picking another part of the world to have your vacation in.

* Breakfast. Breakfast is not included (coffe every morning is, however). With this they can keep a really low room price. If you want breakfast you can simply order it and they will fix it for you. So if you really want it you can pay for it and get it, or you can fix it yourself and get an ever lower cost for the vacation.

* Wifi. You will have to pay for this, but for 50 php per day it is about what 30 to 60 minutes cost as an internet cafe.

* Communal kitchen. Great thing that is usable for all the guests. This is once again something thay have not raised the room price for. Use of fridge they wont charge you for, but if you use the gas for cooking they will charge you a very small sum for it. Basicly you are covering the costs for what you use "extra".

Room Tip: We had a rooftop room that were awsome, had all were could wish for, and still for below 2000 php pe...

Breeze Inn is a super chill place, cheap and warm.
Owners are so nice and friendly, they bring you coffee in the morning in front of your door, so cute.
Very close to the beach, locals around are so funky, we had the privilege to go for drinks with our neighbors in front of the hotel, such a funny experience.
Bed room was quite clean and we had a cute balcony.

Def recommended for backpackers!!!

I stayed at Ocean Breeze Inn for 3 nights and I had wonderful time there.

All the staffs were so friendly and caring and always asked me if there was anything I needed. I was a solo backpacker and although I'm so used to exploring and travelling alone I sometimes feel like I want some company to share the experience. Michael and Marlon, the most friendly staffs I've ever met, accompanied me for dinner, snorkeling and a little bit of a drink at the evening! They were not just those staffs who offer general service, but they offered me lots of local experience which I wouldn't probably be able to get at 5 star hotels.

The room I stayed was clean and very spacious. The guest house it self locates just 2 mins walk from the White Beach, but sorrounding is very quiet so you can nicely relax at the balcony with a cup of coffee they serve for free in the morning.

If you are looking for a place where you can have more of local experience and human touch, Ocean Breeze Inn is the place to go!

Thank you for the wonderful stay Michael and Marlon!
