White beach in the western part (where boat docks) of the island is very dirty, they are collecting entrance fees but not properly maintained.

It was the most relaxing vacation I've ever had. The locals were nice and they have lots of fresh seafood (it was even cheap!). They even prepared and cooked the food for us without any additional charges and it was delicious. During the low tide in the afternoon, you could go to this small man-made rock island in the middle of the sea too. There were lots of fishes around it and there's a wide area around the island where you could swim without getting to any deep parts. The restroom is always so clean as well. The huts are wide and clean. We also played beach volleyball since they had a net all set-up. We also got a big boat with a nice crew to bring us to the island. It was small, but if you're looking for an intimate place to be then this is the perfect island for you!
(Although I would recommend that you bring clean washing water with you since the showers are not working.)
If you're in Cebu and want to visit Pandanon Island, simply go to Mövenpick Resort in Cebu and beside Mövenpick there are pump boats for rent that could accomodate 15-30 people max. for only Php 4,500! It's a good way to unwind and bond with friends. You can go in the morning, and back to where you first boarded the boat before sunset.
The shape of this island from afar is enough to take your breath away. I gushed as we drew nearer the island. We went here for our company outing and the place proved awesome for beach games.
We did treasure hunting, balloon popping, and gift-giving here so this island remains memorable.
On the way back, we asked the boatmen to drop us where we could dive as the beach in Pandanon wasn't good enough for divers.
I'm sure many travellers have noticed that proper facilities are lacking in this island. If Bohol's tourism office is reading this, they should provide better bathrooms and a convenient store here. Just a suggestion.
Pandanon is a quaint island off Bohol, a part of the municipality of Jetafe. It is about an hour ride on a motorized boat taking off from Hadsan beach in Mactan Island, Cebu...
The island's main attraction is it's clear blue waters and sugary white sands. In reaching ashore, the sight will just let you want to leap into the water and swim. Swim. Swim.
In getting there you have to charter a boat or join a fun tour to the island. Make sure you bring food and drinks as there are no dining places there.
The place is raw. No amenities at all. There are a few cottages that you can rent that's it. All the island has to offer is it's cool crystal clear waters, the fine white sands all around its shores and the blue skies. And not to miss is the FUN it will bring you with the right company, of course.
This was my first visit to this island which i had heard so many praises.
The island is simply untouched & i was mesmerized with the fine white sand & the crystal blue waters.
There were small huts of which you will pay P500 & an exorbitant entrance fee of p150. It was pricey for an island which has no basic amenities-- comfort rooms need maintenance & repair.
There were no restaurants around so its better to bring your own provision -- food, drinks & whatever float your boat.
If you really love the simple life, you will get to enjoy the beauty.
