“Great for fish feeding.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

Awesome to arrive in Luli island where fish feeding is allowed. Vendors selling native cakes, pastries & other eats are a welcome sight. Smelled grilled seafood as soon as our boat anchored & saw enthusiastic boatmen doing the cooking. What is amazing is Luli island is a sandbar that disappears during high tide. Will go back.

“Classic beauty of a relaxing beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

If I'm not mistaken, this is a vanishing island, which is pretty cool though. When we did islands hopping in Honda Bay, we booked a boat for 3 islands but the boat driver was kind enough to take us to an extra one and it was LuLi island. We arrived around 10 or 11 in the morning and only after 15 minutes taking photos, the water suddenly raised rapidly and the boat driver told us to quickly get on the boat because the water would cover the island soon.

Anyway, it's extremely beautiful with white sand and the water is so clear. It's great to spend an hour or two here to swim and get tanned! :D If I remember it right, the entrance fee was 60 Php each and if you'd like to, you can rent a bungalow for 150 PhP.

Ask the boat driver to take you to feed the fish, it's not very far from the beach. Make sure to bring your snorkeling tools or rent one before you board the boat (only 100PhP), bring some bread with you also. The boat driver and his some kind of "assistant" are very helpful (at least ours were) but they should all be because that's the characteristics of the local people here and Filipinos in general. I lived in the Philippines for almost a year and I love the country because of this characteristics.

No food provided here so, if you want to have lunch here, bring your own food.

“Diving!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Aside from having a great view, what we enjoyed the most here is diving. It was our first :)

You'll see beautiful fishes. It has white sand, not so clear water. Fish feeding is allowed here. Its a good island for snorkeling.

There are benches/nipa huts where you can sun bathe, have lunch or just chill :)

Will definitely go back :)

“Swim with nature!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

Very fascinating as there were lots of mid sized fishes near the shallow water of luli island. Fish feeding was awesome as it added the thrill of directly feeding the fishes while holding the bread on your finger tips.

Tip: try not to move a lot as it will scare the fishes away.

“White sand, clear water! fantastic!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

I never thought my kids would enjoy Honda bay as much as they did in Boracay. That seems to be the only beach they all enjoy. .Boracay sands may be finer and powdery, but the experience of fish feeding while swimming was just the greatest for my kids. I had a hard time getting them out of the water. If only we could stay a little longer. 1 hour wasn't enough to enjoy this little island. I would love to go back again.
