“Didn't want to leave Palo Alto”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

Since I love food, I pretty much rate my stay on how good the food was. My wife and I stayed at Palo Alto for a week back in January 2012. I have to say, the great cook at their restaurant was much better than my wife's cooking. And she's a good cook! I asked if I can trade my wife for their cook but, it was a no go. The facilities was quiet, situated deep in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are very comfortable. And lastly, the staff were very friendly and professional. The tours can be arranged at the lobby for a fun day exploring!

We stayed during the time when Palo Alto extended their premises, so no pool etc available. We simply enjoyed it so much that we stoped our beach holidays early and went there again before we left Palawan. So friendly, so nice build.

Room Tip: The rooms are relatively small, we stayed the second time in the bigger family type rooms. However...

i was planning an escape from a very stressful life in the city and decided to stay some place peaceful and relaxing..lucky enough i discovered this very serene place in puerto princesa..
i was able to get their promo of staying 3 nights and getting the 4th night for free..

waking up to the sounds of birds chirping in the morning made me feel like i was in paradise..kept me away for a while from all the stressful things in life back home..
breakfast was good and the staff were excellent and very accommodating to my needs..the place may be secluded and away from the city but they have a free shuttle to take u back and forth the main road, so it was never a problem for me..they even drive you to your resto of choice during night time..
it was all i was looking for for my vacation that week and i'll be looking forward to coming back soon..
:)

The Hotel is really great. The Hotel was made of Acacia. Breakfast is great, service is very good also. The only negative of this B&B is the distance to downtown. But that's not a problem because if you need a ride to the city, they have a van service or the staff will call a trike for you.

Had a great stay at this B&B but there it was right in the middle of nowhere. They offered a free shuttle to and from the airport. It was not easy getting there. I was a little concerned of where our driver was taking us. It was surrounded by very tall concrete fence but inside the fortress was this beautiful B&B. Check in was good and the front desk clerk asked us to remove our shoes before walking on the beautiful wood floor. The place feels very relaxing.

Our room was nice and clean and had a queen bed on the main floor and another on the loft. The sheets were clean and smelled clean too. There was a safe, fridge, two flat screen tv's (one on the main floor and the other one on the second floor). There was also patio table and chairs on the balcony. The bathroom was clean and they had soap, shampoo and conditioners in real containers (not packets). What imprrssed me was that they actually wash their fabric shower curtain and it smelled fresh.

The restaurant was good and expensive but they offered shuttle service if you want to go to a restaurant in town. it was neat to see that they built the restaurant around a tree. Breakfast was basic but the papayas were amazing.

They had a loft and a balcony on the second floor of the restaurant and the view of the trees all around was incredible . It was very relaxing but we didn't take advantage of the balcony and loft because it was hot and humid when we were there.

Felt very comfortable here and will definitely stay here again especially with the new pool.

Nice, cozy and peaceful. Their security was good and their employees are friendly and accommodating. While our tour was fun and sometimes exciting. And the tour guide was also fun and witty.

Room Tip: We recommend the family room. It has a loft where the kids will surely enjoy.

We stayed at this bed and breakfast for two nights. When we arrived, we were given delicious welcome drinks. The bed and breakfast was set in the forest and was made of wood. Some parts of the place were built around trees (the owner refused to cut down trees). Our room was big enough for two people but I really enjoyed the bathroom. It had hot and cold shower, handlebars for disabled and a bidet! The hotel staff was friendly and professional, starting from the reservations to our arrival, our stay and our departure. This place is hidden about 300 meters from the main city road and getting there could be quite bumpy but when you get there, you'll forget about the city and just relax, listen to the birds and enjoy the greenery. The management offers transport service to their guests who go shopping or have dinner downtown. Since we're birdwatchers, the place was perfect for us because we could see birds from the viewdeck and also around the neighborhood. As a matter of fact, when we could not find a reasonably priced van to take us birdwatching at Iwahig, the owner offered us their van at a reasonable price. Yes, we will definitely stay here again.
