“Love Hotel Centro -one of the best in Puerto Princesa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2011

We stayed in Hotel Centro last May and I must say I had a quite a good time. We were greeted with a welcome drink which was really nice especially if you just came from a long journey.

We travel with a baby, it's just a pity that they don't have a crib available for our baby to sleep. I think they should have one because we are not the only ones traveling with a baby.

The free breakfast was alright. After finishing my breakfast, one staff asked me if I wanted eggs, I wish they have asked me that before I even started or atleast put a sign on the table that guests can order eggs.

They also have a spa which is open till 1 am. It's really nice to have a spa right in your hotel, you can easily have a massage whenever you want to.

They just opened so they are still trying to get the hang of their operation but in general the service was good. The people are friendly.

The hotel is very clean, spacious and made a good use of natural light in the lobby and other common areas. I'd say the staff was very helpful and cheerful. Thanks for making our stay wonderful as it was my birthday when we checked in.

Only draw back in the hotel is the food served in coffee shop..it's very limited and flies hover in the buffet table. It's because of the accommodating crew that made me forget those flies.. Well I thought these must be friendly flies here just like the people of Palawan.

It was raining the whole time we were there. It was my wish to see the underground river for my birthday so I thought of asking around who could be the best tour operator to bring us around.. I'd usually read a lot of reviews in trip advisor and other blog entries but since this group was recommended..we used their services. We were told that pick up was at7 am but we got underground river at 1pm! It's just 1 1/2 hours the travel time.. In other words time was waited in too much waiting. We could have left the city at 1030.. Have lunch in sabang and off to the river. We still waited for more than an hour after coming from the the river to ride the van back to our hotel. So the river was so so experience because of inefficiency! We wasted one whole day just to see the river when the actual trip inside the cave was about thirty minutes or less.

The following day we wanted to use our afternoon to see the Honda bay... We have prior commitment in the morning so the only option is the afternoon trip. The operator or the guide knew that it was raining really hard and to see the bay in that weather is no good experience at all. It was very cold and the waves are not friendly. When we got to an island..we were attacked by jelly fish. So we moved to another island which was snake island.. Same thing..jelly fishes were abound. We didn't enjoy the beautiful fishes anymore because we were afraid of the nelly fishes. We headed back to the wharf..we just saw two islands..what a waste of money and time. The guide or operator could easily say the trip is not worth it.. They cld have returned our money because the weather was bad.

Next time.. Double check and ask about this option of returning money because it's quite expensive especially if you're travelling with your family. Or read more blog entries on this.

Sorry I'm not sure of the name of travel agency so I won't put it anymore.

We stayed at Hotel Centro for a vaction on a 3D/2N last July 16-18, 2011.We really loved the place.Friendly service staff especially Destiny,Faizal and the front desk people including waitrers/waitresses.They are all friendly.Ambiance is so good. Our room was so clean.Swimming pool was superb especially at night because of different colors of the water changing from time to time. One of the best hotels i can assure you.I already recommended this to our friends. We will definitely come back in Palawan and stayed at Hotel Centro. So peaceful and quiet not to mention that safety is also guaranteed even if u walk outside their hotels at night.

The hotel rooms were ok, decent. New, clean yet small.
The staff lacked training... :( like all the staff.
Food was terrible
Not at all worth the money we spent!
Hope that you'll do better.

We got a chance to stay at Hotel Centro, a 4 star hotel through a Metrodeal discount voucher worth 8800Php
For 2 Persons Inclusive of 3D/2N stay at their superior double room, Breakfast included, Airport transfers, Underground River Tour package and a 90 min. shui hilot massage.

Staff
I love the service of this hotel, Every single staff is friendly and seemingly well trained. They all smile and greet you, make sure that you are taken care of. Very approachable and courteous

Place/Room
When we first entered our room, it was surprisingly small. We didn't expect that from the pictures, but nevertheless it was cozy and had everything we needed. A nice bed, television, DVD player, cabinets, safe, small fridge, free water, coffee, tea etc.,

The bathroom was superb, complete with all the stuff you might need during your stay.
The room functioned through a key card, no more keys. When you leave the room, just take the card and the electricity will be shut off. even if you leave everything working inside. awesomeness! :D

Facilities
The Hotel probably has the biggest swimming pool, with lovely lights, kiddie pool, jacuzzi and a beverage bar by the pool. The have a gym that is free to use, souvenir shop and the spa which you can ask to do room service.

Food
Their breakfast selection is the best tasting food we had in our stay. I love the completeness of food they serve. yum!

Complaints?
My boyfriend said he was satisfied with the hotel services and the only complaint he could think of is the toilet paper they used was kind of cheap, but i have no complaints in that.

Price
We got ours with discount that's why it was nice, but when we asked for the price of the hotel, my god it was 5500 per night a room! if we hadn't gotten the discount voucher we wouldnt stay there. :P

Overall
Our stay was amazing, and this hotel will have you worry free and give you the feeling of a total vacation. It's recommended for those who can afford and really want to experience the finest, The hotel is new just put up last march 2011 so everything is squeaky clean.

Note: the hotel and rooms smell lovely! and i forget to ask the staff what they use!

Events
this is where the Ms. Earth contestants and organizers stayed during the week of the pageant.

And also the Mutya ng Palawan contestants. We saw them during our stay. :)

A very nice place to stay. Good hotel resto with wide array of meals, drinks, cereals, desserts and breads. Very nice, pleasing and polite hotel staff and crew. Hospitable and courteous as well. The price is quite high but the facilities are really high-class. With jacuzzi infinity pool. Quiet place to stay ... meaning relaxing. Just a suggestion : kindly fix or attached permanently the room safety box.

Room Tip: all rooms are OK and recommendable.
