Upon entering the gate, you'll be welcomed by a beautifully landscaped garden. But you have to make sure that your feet are presentable before you come in:) Ka Lui is a native restaurant that follows the Filipino tradition of leaving your footwear at the door. You'll be glad to be barefoot when you feel that cool, smooth wooden floor under your feet. The place is gorgeously filled with artwork and every wall and corner is meticulously setup for your eyes to feast on. I love how they use real fruits as decorations, not to mention the flowers. And then there's the food! We ordered the "Special of the day set" and some side dishes. It was a real feast and an amazing explosion of tastes and textures, all very fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff was very attentive and helpful, explaining what and how the dishes were prepared. It was quite an experience that I hope would be able to enjoy again.
