“Best value in an awesome place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

My family stayed here and we got 2 adjoining rooms. The hotel is a basic resort but a very good one with awesome value. You really get what you pay for and you get so much more value and awesome service for the small amount of money you pay for. It has cable TV and wi-fi which should not be a concern because this is El Nido, its crazy to stay in your room.

Best if you arrange your island tours (a must) through their reception so they can certify that you get a trustworthy boatman. We had a very memorable stay here and our kids are expecting us to bring them back to this place.

Visiting El Nido is a must and staying in this place is a good choice.

Room Tip: Make sure you book your stay, this resort gets fully booked easily. During our stay there, lots of p...

Stayed here for four nights and overall it was a good stay. A bit on the expensive side considering the long power outs but the location is pretty central. It has a good spacious room for 3 people with clean bath although shower's water pressure is bad even on the off season. There are hammocks and tables on the outside good for hanging out but no food served (some shakes or snacks would be nice) besides breakfast so guests will have to buy outside. The front of the beach is being used by boats for docking so no good for swimming but same goes through out the long stretch of Bacuit bay. Guests could however go to Marimegmeg beach (15mins away) or Nacpan beach (45mins away) for a good beach bumming. And like in any part of El Nido, insect repellent is a must.

Room Tip: Room #10 has a good window view while #1 is far from most noise.

Excellent beach front resort. Accessible to market, restaurants and bars. Electricity is only between 2pm-8am but its okay since everyday there are many islands to visit. Filipino breakfast are good,. Staff are accommodating and friendly. Surely, we'll come back next year. We really love El Nido!

LOCATION: it is located along the beach, in front of the police station, and a few minutes walk from the market, Art Cafe (and other restaurants), and public transportation. The boats used for island hopping are anchored on the beach in front of the resort.

ROOM: Our room was located in front of the Police Station. Although it is in front of a street, there are no vehicles passing by as the street in front of the Police Station is designated as a "walk zone". Room is big and clean, with two beds (double) and a clean bathroom. No TV, ref and mini bar. With AC and ceiling fan. However, the towels are already worn out and have torn edges. Soap is the only toiletry provided in the room.

SERVICE: Housekeeping staff are very fast in responding to our requests for towels, pillows and mosquito spray.

BREAKFAST: The Filipino breakfast (set menu) is okay. Great view of the beach, ocean and mountain side while partaking of the breakfast in the hotel's "very small" restaurant.

Good place to stay in, if travelling from Puerto Princessa to El Nido, before going to the more expensive resorts in Bacuit Bay. Furthermore, it is a great jump off point for affordable island tours (more expensive if provided by the island resorts in El Nido).

Magnificent view of Cadlao island in front of the resort. We stayed at a deluxe room during our first night but gave us a discount price paying only the rate of a standard room. Staff were very accommodating, courteous and always smiling to guests, (which I really love about staying in a hotel.) Rooms are clean, what you see from their website is what the actual room really looks like. Standard and deluxe rooms have their own porch where breakfast can be serve in the morning if you wish to. Or better yet, just a place to relax. They have free wifi and free breakfast. Hammocks to get laidback and recently just the day we left, big umbrellas are now situated at their front beach.

Just be careful relaxing on their benches situated near coconut trees cause coconuts might just fell off. Good thing no one was sitting when it happened. If i'll get back, I'll stay in Marina once again.

Beautiful beach of El nido in front of our Hotel villas..Great quite hotel to stay at Marina Garden beach Resort, ...we really love to stay there,..specially the hammocks, we love to sit in front of the beach with my husband...
Staff are so accommodating & always smiling to their guest, specially when you need something,..the food is super Lovely specially the breakfast...Thank you to all the staff, We enjoy our stay in your Hotel , even though we're not staying all the time to the hotel because of our everyday activity tour, & we enjoy the scenic view of the El nido paradise Island!. Probably we will stay there again with my family...

Room Tip: room # 1, 2, 3, & 4 are the best room to choose, because of beach front.

The staff was quite helpful when I made my reservations. They did not asked for a deposit and even reminded me about it a week before our arrival.

I love the place. It felt quite homey. The guests are always outside enjoying the hammocks and the chairs by the beach. It is very close to the beach and the town which is good in case you need something.

The room is clean and they provide towels. Sometimes I feel like the water was about to go out during the shower but there is a pail and dipper provided in case you decide not to use the shower anymore.

I had an issue with the way they did my laundry. it had a dump funny smell. It turned out that when the afternoon drizzle came they transferred my laundry indoors inside a cabinet although they claimed that they kept the door open. Some of them I was able to use while some had to be washed again. Hopefully they learned from that mistake.
