“A tropical paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

We, a group of 4 friends, stayed at Greenviews in the beginning of April 2014 in a family cottage.
The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing and peacefull. The place is right at the calm Corong Corong beach, so the view was amazing, especially the sunsets. Way nicer and calmer than El Nido center, but still close enough to all services. The food was good, and the resort provided us with activities such as island hopping easily and conveniently.

Ths place really felt like the perfect island paradise.

Make sure to have a look at the awesome bearcat.

We Chose Greenviews based on trip advisor and will not regret it.
Though it was a bit far from the town, Coron Beach is far from the madding crowd...
We loved Greenviews nice and friendly vibe, and sunsets...the food in particular was very nice, with a free soup and desert given during dinner!
The Bungalows are basic , spacious and very comfortable with a nice balcony.
The island hopping tours were nice , and you leave straight from Coron beach...
I must mention Dave, the owner who was extremely warm and friendly.
It is because of his nature that Greenviews feels more like a home, and a family...
I would return to Greenviews again....

Room Tip: The bungalow facing the back garden has a lot of privacy and is cheaper too ...

We stayed at Greeviews Resort for vacation in December 2013 - January 2014, and i can say it was the best way to celebrate New Year.

This resort is wonderful, I highly recccomend it to all who love beautiful views, friendly people and delicious food - so, I guess, to everyone.

Cabins are quite big and comfortable.
Sea tours are extremely interesting and definitely worth its cost. We were in 3 tours and liked them all. Hard to choose only one, El Nido is such a great place! And, of course, sunsets are literaly a breathtaking view.

With advices and kindness from Dave, the owner, and all the staff it was easy to ehjoy every seconf of our trip. Hope to visit Greenviews resort again.

The Greenviews Resort in Corong-Corong is a great place to start exploring the El Nido area. The staff will kindly help you with arranging your tours (of which tour A is the best). The over-all vibe is very relaxing and in general there is a nice mix of guests!

The cabins are nice and comfortable although they are not really noise-proof. But during the night it is quiet!

Room Tip: Ask Brian if he can arrange a tour to Nacpan Beach (which is a must-see). He'll bring you by min...

This is a great place to stay. We were glad to stay here as opposed to busy El Nido. Nice sunsets and good cocktails to boot. The staff are friendly and the setting fantastic. Hire a private boat out to the islands for a day will top your stay, or share with others to make it a bit more affordable.

Room Tip: The staff are very friendly and helped us locate our camera that we left on the van when we traveled...

We really enjoyed our stay in the back garden room (1300php). We arrived by cherry bus and requested a drop off at Greenviews as it was along the road toward the bus terminal. Check-in was very smooth. Our room wasn't ready yet, but we could use the wifi in the restaurant while enjoying our welcome drink.

The room was very nice and spacious with a real shower. It was nice to have our own little private area to sit outside even though it didn't have a view. There are also plenty of places to sit and enjoy the beautiful view at the front of Greenviews. When we were there the weather was quite pleasant and not as hot as expected. The fan room was perfect. Their fan is very strong so you don't have to worry about it being too hot. A reason to maybe choose a front garden room or a cottage would be the sea breeze.

Yes, it is true that you can hear your neighbors in the room, but most people staying here are looking to relax. So the talking is never long and if you turn on your fan, you cannot hear them. The only downside for the back garden room is the strong smell of smoke from time to time. Probably to kill or distract insects?

We walked around the area and this place is definitely the nicest. The beach is nice and clean though shallow, plenty areas to relax, and very quiet. The location is perfect as it is between town and Marimegmeg beach. You can leisurely walk to both places or take a trike. Trike to town was usually 30 php for 2 ppl.

Security is very good. You can also safely leave your belongings with them at the restaurant. They will put it in a plastic bag and wrap it with tape and a hand-written form by you (so you can tell if it has been tampered with), before they put it in the safe.

Here are things that we didn't like, but didn't affect our stay too much.

The female senior staff had a bad attitude while we were there. Maybe she was going through something personal, because she was very friendly on our last night. The minor ways she showed her bad attitude was by acting annoyed or rolling her eyes when we asked something. The incident that put us off the most was when my husband requested to extend our stay for 2 days. She told my husband that I already requested that with another senior staff, which I never did. Why request an extension, if you already did so?! My husband told me that she was very aggressive and kept insisting that we already did instead of believing him and finding a solution. She finally called the other staff member and found out that there was some administrative error and it was our neighbor that requested an extension. This could have been resolved right away had she approached this matter in a more efficient way. My husband could have easily stopped insisting to find out what happened, as the extension was in our favor and our neighbors might have ended up without a room. She never apologized for this incident.

It put us so off that we decided to avoid her as much as possible by avoiding the restaurant. It is a shame because the food is really good there!! However, in a way it was a good thing because it forced us to explore the area for food and drinks. Right when you exit onto the beach, on your left, you will find a small shack owned by a very friendly local family. Their drinks are really cheap! Soda 15 php, fresh coconut 20 php and beer colder than Greenviews at 35 php. Please do support them. On your right side when facing the water at Ayleen's (or something like that) they have delicious food cooked by a very friendly chef. In town we recommend Seaslugs and the Alternative. Places with nice views but not so good food so best for drinks are El Nido Corner and Squido's on the Hill. Another place worthy to mention is Ate than at Sunset which is on the main road between marimegmeg and Greenviews. Beautiful unobstructed sunset view. Maybe even better than Greenviews. Friendly people and great mango shake. Their food is good too.

I am not sure whether the following services can be expected from a budget resort but it would have been nice if they were more willing to help. On one evening we asked them whether they would do tour C the next morning. They told us that it would be better if we went to town and ask for it. They didn't offer to help us book the tour or gave us tips where to do so. On a previous night, we saw a diving resort next door, Pa lao yu and walked in to inquire. They weren't offering the tour on our date but were more than happy to call their partner in town. We had a wonderful time with them.

On the Greenview website they mention that they can arrange bus pick up from their resort. My husband asked one of their senior staff member whether it was possible for them to pick us up. The guy just said he didn't think it was possible and again no offer to call or help us further.

These are minor things which didn't affect us too much and in general their staff is very friendly. We had a wonderful stay and truly recommend this place.

I really enjoyed my stay at Greenviews. The atmosphere in the restaurant/common area is pleasant. Elegant wooden furniture. Beautiful surroundings. Welcoming staff. It's reasonably priced compared to similar accommodations in Corong Corong though the coffee is a bit overpriced.
