“Tour A El Nido”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

I was very excited about the Island Hopping Tours in El Nido, but was a little disappointed. My girlfriend and I decided to take Tour A. It was late getting started, no fault of the guests, we were all there on time.
Every island we went to, we were the last boat to arrive, out of many, at least 10 to 15 other tour boats in the same location.
Each island we went to was very crowded before we got there. We spent a lot of time trying to find a place to dock the boat. The snorkeling was not very good, nothing to see, mostly cloudy water.
If you rent a kayak on the tour, you have to pay for it in advance, and you have to make sure the other guests and the tour guides know it is your kayak for the day, otherwise they will take it while you are snorkeling or swimming, leaving you with no kayak when you are ready to use it.
The tour could have been better if it had not been so crowded with other boats and tourists in the same spot. We also didn't get to visit all of the islands listed on the tour. The excuse the guides used was because it was too crowded, so they cut the tour short.
So, my take on the Island Hopping Tours in El Nido? Maybe you will get lucky and book a tour on a slow day, or with someone who gets started on time.
Or, if you like huge crowds on beaches with limited space and get there before everyone else, so you can get a good spot, then maybe you will have a great time.
If you like snorkeling in cloudy water, then you won't be disappointed.

“Best way to spend a day in El Nido”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

I highly suggest taking Tour A - Lagoon Tour in El Nido. We picked this tour randomly and were very pleased with the experience. The lagoons are absolutely beautiful, some of which are so hidden that you must swim to get to them. The tour operators are all very nice and charge the same price, so it doesn't really matter where you book.

Lunch is included on the tour, which is cooked fresh right on the beach, but water is not. BRING YOUR OWN WATER WITH YOU!

These tours are getting very crowded, as is all of Palawan, so I'd suggest visiting soon, before development really starts picking up.

“Great way to explore El Nido”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

We had Tour B and C and they were just awesome. I recommend Clydenike and Guenkean Tours. The tour guides were polite and knowlegable. The food they served to us was really great. Hope to do it again next year.

“Great day out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

A great way to spend a day, but try to request a boat of no more than 6-8 people. I took a tour with my girlfriend on a boat of 12 and it was too crowded and not enough food. Other than that, the archipelago is beautiful.

“quit your job, buy a ticket, get a tan, fall in love, and never return..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

This is the best way to see the beauty of El Nido, from wide stretches of powdery white beaches and crystal clear water to the time sculptured towering marble cliffs, and enchanting lagoons. Numerous local tour agencies can be found at the town proper to help you with your island hopping and some resorts can also take care of it for their guest. El Nido has a well-managed tourism, prices for tour packages are set so you don't need to worry about getting ripped-off, and tour guides and boatmen are well trained . One can always visit their local tourism office located in front of the town church for complaints and questions. The calm water of El Nido is also ideal for adventurous people to just rent and use kayak to visit nearby islands. During our stay we decided to get a private tour coz we wanted to choose the islands to visit and we got the best deal from "Servant Tours", we really enjoyed it, their tour guide and boatman is funny and very knowledgeable. El Nido is such a wonderful place!
