Went here from may 6-8, 2013 and we had the best experience in resort accommodation. you really feel like you are in a private place, which is true..all the staffs are very friendly (also the OWL), kind and accommodating. the room was spacious for 4 person which is very good, clean and great mountain view. the resort is really ideal for family who doesn't want a noisy place and for those who want to relax...as a nature's lover, i definitely love this place...

something to change about the resort: the shuttle service schedule.
Anyway, i will consider going back.

We stayed here from May 6 to 9, 2013 and we found the resort charming and very relaxing.

PROS:
- allowed us to check in early. Check in time was 2 pm but they checked us in when we arrived at 10am
- friendly and accomodating staff
- the resort only has a few rooms so the pool, restaurant and reception were never crowded. The resort is indeed, relaxing
- the views are amazing! Lots of spots to have picture taking sessions
- Have I mentioned that their staff was nice and friendly?
- provides a free guided trek to Aninuan Falls. The falls itself weren't big or pretty and the 1 hour trek was tiring but it was still a pretty nice experience.
- spacious room
- it was fun to ride at the back of the resort's pick up truck (shuttle)
- wifi was functional

CONS:
- no phone or intercom inside the room so you'd have to walk to reception to request for things
- no toiletries
- The resort is far from the beach. You could ride their shuttle for free at 10am, 1:30pm and 9:30pm. You'd have to pay 200php for the shuttle or take the tricycle for 100php if you want to go to the beach or go back to the resort outside of their allotted time.

PROS:
- there is a friendly owl that you can pet in front of the admin office

CONS:
- it took them close to 2 hours just to bring us our lunch and it wasn't even complete
- their free WIFI is so slow, we just gave up on using it
- electricity went out in the middle of the night
- the aircon in one of our rooms was broken
- it took them about 1 hour and 30 minutes to bring us a plate of spaghetti and meatballs and mango crepes
- the mango crepes they gave us had no mangoes in it
- they did not provide any toiletries
- if you need something from their staff, you have to walk to their office. there are no intercoms or easier ways to get room service
- their staff didn't seem to know what in the world they were doing, the only sane person to talk to in this resort was the bartender
- the free "luxury" breakfast choices included: a longsilog meal with just a 1-inch longganisa and a tocilog meal with a small tocino piece sliced into even smaller portions

The highlight of my weekend:
When we were outside Tribal Hills Mountain Resort.

The place is pretty good, though they still need to develop more in their propoerty. The rooms are also good (we stayed at the 2nd floor, and our group got the whole lane of 5 rooms)... the scenery is good too. We just noticed that the teraza's (veranda) door locked can be easily opened which we see as a disadvantage, because the access through the veranda from a room to another is so easy which is not safe and convenient for the guest. Other things we have noted in our room (room 8) is that the door lock in the bathroom is broken, the main door lock is hard to deal with, the extra blanket for the third person in the room is so thin and the pillow is like a "vegetable". Those are the things that the management should see and improve... even the housekeepers, they are half naked while cleaning rooms and changing linens :( the place is good, but needs improvement :) ... and the ride going up from the pick up station to the resort is like a roller coster ride! because the road is steep., it's a fun-risky ride! :D

When it comes to food.. they serve only a little.. and we found it costy to dine at their resto. :( and they do not allow foods inside the room and charges 100.00 for the beers in can ( which is usual and normal in hotels/ resorts).

Note: make sure to bring your personal Bath Needs (shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. ) they do not provide.

Add's : I have plans on staying again here and hoping that they have improved more when I got back :)

Room Tip: it is better to get rooms in the 2nd floor :) nice scenery and easy access ...

It's not your usual Puerto Galera White Beach Resort. This is a very beautiful property. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I guess I was lucky to be able to visit during the birthday of one of the owners. I had free dinner during my first night and I felt very welcome. The owners are great.

The rooms are well kept and has a gorgeous view of Mt. Malasimbo. Their restaurant has an amazing view of the ocean.

You should try their Mindoro Sling, it's fantastic. Will be returning this April 2013! ^_^
