“Fresh fish and seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

I like to go to Jimbaran at least once a month. When you first enter, you're prompted to select your fish or any other fresh seafood from the ice. Then, you select the sauce/style you want it cooked. Next, you sit down and wait for your fresh seafood at your table.

The ambiance is peaceful and private. The restaurant is never overly crowded or totally empty. It's just right.

The taste is a result of the freshness of the fish along with the authentic style/sauce. So, the taste is pretty good.

If you're in the Hyatt area and have a soft-spot for seafood, definitely give Jimbaran a try.

“A good second to the original!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Jimbaran is really a beach in Bali, but if you cannot make it there, this place is as good being there. When we went to Yogya recently we thought this is easily the best restaurant of the entire journey. The fish was fresh and the location just lovely. We had lunch of fish with Jimbaran sauce which was the star dish. The Udang Galah were also lovely. I love my prawns and these were the size of lobsters. The squid in peppercorn sauce was a tad too spicy but we didn't mind. The variety of sambals was delicious and I like the banana leaf we use for plates. I went with a couple of foreigners from the UK and they were very very impressed. The price was very reasonable. It came to Rp100, 000 per person which was about £6.50 - can't beat that for value. Thanks, Jimbaran!

“Why pay more to get normal?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

We decided to go to this restaurant thanks to lonely planet suggestion. The place is fairly nice and the staff is really warm.
The food quality is in the average, but the prices are definitively too high. Given the high price we payed (as reference one large bottle of bintang beer costs 49,000rp) we were surprised to see many Indonesian sitting at the tables, therefore we really think they apply too different prices for locals and foreigners.
