We chose Hotel Ibis for its comfort and location. This hotel is a short walk/pechak ride from the main railway station, in the middle of the shopping district and within walking distance to most of the sights.

The room was comfortable and fairly spacious. The buffet breakfast was very satisfying and available as early as 4am (useful on teh morning we had a 5am departure to the airport). Amenities were great - wake up calls, spa/sauna, in house restaurant for convenience and many local eateries and warungs just outside.

The hotel provides 30 mins free wifi per day for guests. However this is only accessible from the lobby. Additional hours can be purchased on a prepaid card or you can purchase usage in 15min blocks on hotel pcs in the foyer.

I went to Yogyakarta with my husband and we stayed at this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. The hotel has an connection door right away to the Mall (with supermarket and other stores). Really comfy when we needed something for our little refrigerator in our room (it's empty and we could occupied it with the drinks that we bought from the supermarket). The staffs were nice and helpfull.

Clean and functional with very helpful and friendly staff and a good location. Not luxury but thats dificult to find in Yogyakarta.

We stayed two nights on 2 Oct. The room was clean and fresh. It situated just next to Malioboro Mall which seperated by the glass door which is convenience even during raining. Hotel breakfast spread is good. Mcdonald served 24 hours but there was no breakfast set. My son loved playing in the kid theme park at the third floor in Malioboro Mall. We enjoyed the local food at the food court which is more cleaner and safer to consume for children. After the enjoyable experience we stayed another night on the 18 Oct and the room was clean and fresh. In Yogyakarta we think that this hotel is good for those who wish to go shopping in any wheather and especially those with young kids.
