“Simple & Nice Hotel to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

Simple & nice 2 star hotel in Indonesia,& I'm and my family friends recently checked in with 2 superior rooms. The helpful and lovely smiling Javanese receptionist be able to upgrade one of my rooms to family suit as requested. we are happy caused the family room is bigger & more comfortable.

Breakfast is good variety and provide local and international easy breakfast. They also prepare our breakfast in lunch box when we need to start our journey early morning 5am. It really touched.

You do can keep your passport in the reception , its safe and they have security take charge of it. the only thing is the WiFi can access in the downstair hall but not in the room.

Closed to Malioboro, you could find a lot of food stall and souvenir shops..
Above all, a nice place to stay for myself.

Hotel is situated on Dagen street off Malioboro shopping area. My family of 5 stayed in the Executive Room for 4 nights. room was okay but there was leakage in the bathroom. staff were friendly. when we were there two groups checked in. Hotel has room service but menu is limited and we didnt enjoy the food. Instead we ate at the nearby food-court at Malioboro Mall. No wifi in room which was a problem for me because I brought work along. Had to use wifi at restaurant and unfortunately there was no separate smoking area there. About 5mins walk to the main street of Malioboro but it usually takes longer because many hesitant trishaw owners park along Dagen street will approach you. It's quite annoying for me as I had my children and those people just dont take NO easily.

Only 5 minutes walking distance to jl malioboro and 2 min by becak.

The room size is quite small also the bathroom (forgot the room type, maybe standard with twin beds).

When i stayed at this hotel, the hotel was fully occupied, hence when i took a shower at 6 in the morning, there's no water from the shower.

Breakfast? Better you find the traditional food near the hotel (gudeg yu djum).

5 minutes walking distance from Malioboro Mall/Street. Rooms are clean . WiFi service is only available at lobby area. Insufficient electric plugs for charging.Breakfast buffet was acceptable, especially the Javanese food.he

The hotel management should improve the drainage system. I agree with what Grace Y had mentioned earlier, if the water is turned on too long, it cannot drain on time and water seeped out from the bathroom.

Room Tip: Avoid taking rooms near the lobby and restaurant - it's damn noisy!

I had a chance to visit Jogjakarta and stay in this hotel. The room was good and quite clean. However, the bathroom was so small that I can rarely get dress in there. The staff were good and friendly. Still, smoking area was not well-designed as it was located near the restaurant without separation. Breakfast with bad atmosphere was not a good idea for me. However, it was OK in overall.

We were staying at this hotel for 2 nights. I like the location of this hotel, we can walk to Malioboro to shop and easy to get foods.

The room is nice and clean but not too spacious. The bathroom also clean and hot water easily flowing. The staffs are friendly also.
But I don't like that people can smoke anywhere they want. The most uncomfortable one is that they are smoking in the breakfast area, we can't have a nice comfortable breakfast since I have to stare at people who smoke easily there.

The hotel is simple. As normally 2 star hotel in Indonesia, the minutes you walk-in through the door, you will get the smiling Javanese lady to welcome you.
Lift are on your left side which lead you to the floor your rooms located.

Nice room with larger bathroom size than other local chain hotel in Indonesia, nice to have shower. the water pressure is there, the hot water also great.
the only minor on the bathroom, is cleanliness of the water tap and beyond from water marks.

Breakfast is quite amazingly good variety and provide local and international easy breakfast. You could order eggs though they dont have egg counter. In my three days stay, I got 2 breakfast, one is Javanese style (Gudeg is the special food from Jogjakarta) and toast + egg and pastries on the 2nd day.

Meetings is also okay in this hotel at the top floor. Musholla provided, still. AC works nice. The only minor is the microphone quality of sounds which sometimes problem. I think it's because of the wireless system.

Closed to Malioboro, you could find a lot of food stall and souvenir shops..
Above all, a nice place to stay for myself.

Room Tip: Choose Room higher floor and facing backward of the hotel.
