“Excellent seafood, good value, lively family atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Excellent quality seafood, good value, and a raucous family atmosphere which kids both young and old should really enjoy. Worth checking out the Pasar Seni (art market) nearby as well

“Our favorite seafood restaurant......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Bandar Djakarta alam sutera is our favorite place to hang out with family at the weekend. It is near home at serpong, tangerang area at the restaurant complex flavor bliss. The environment and the good price make us always want to visit again. There is live music, cheap price for seafood, you can order as much you could eat and you stillcan pay for it. It is big reataurant with cozy furniture and interior. The parking space is big enough. There is praying room inside, it is clean and big enough. If there is part of your family at their birthday, you can tell the management and they will give surprise and their staffs will sing the birthday song for you. The best part is you can choose and weight your own meal before cook, so you can choose which one you prefer the big one or the small one and you can see that it is still fresh.

“fresh seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

For my birthday last week, I decided to have a family dinner at Bandar Djakarta Ancol. So two days before I called them and asked them to reserve a table near the beach. Too bad that during Ramadhan (and until 21 August) they don't take any bookings over phone. So we had to be there early to get a table for breakfasting.

First we went to the lobby and ask for a table, we just have to wait for nearly five minutes to get the table. Too bad that the lesehan and somewhere near the beach was already full so we got the garden area. Next, my mother and I went to the fish market (beside the lobby), asked for a basket, then we were accompanied by a someone to choose our fishes and giving recommendation on how it's best cooked. It was really a help for one who didn't want to dirty their hands and still wondering how to cook it.

In the end, we chose boiled kerang dara, roasted Japanese snapper, steamed Nila (cooked on an embers, so it would never get cold), calamary, and white shrimp with salted eggs for 6 persons. For the veggies, we chose sauteed kangkung and sauteed pakis; while for the drinks, we ordered ice cappuccino, kopyor, 3 coconut, orange juice and a pitcher of iced tea. All only costed me around 610K. The taste of the foods were delicious, we especially love the steamed nila and white prawn with salted eggs.

The service was a bit late, since it was breakfasting time and every dish had to be delivered to each table at the same time, but it was understandable. At least the drinks had been delivered first to our table and we also get free ta'jil of kolak pisang (yummy~).

My father told the waiter that that day was my birthday and the singer sang a happy birthday song of their version. Later, I got a coconut pierced with sparklers as a substitute of cake and candles. It's quite fun as there were many kids around that surrounded me and asked to be given the sparklers. I also got a coupon that could be exchanged for my "birthday present" at their store, and I got a tissue case.

Overall, it's recommended for people who love fresh seafood and want to have different ambiance restaurant.

“Entertaining Seafood Restaurant in Bustle Jakarta”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

For everybody who loves every ingredients taken from the sea, YOU GOTTA VISIT THIS PLACE! Well, Jakarta (esp.North Jakarta) well known for its Muara Angke, etc, but sometimes you need to sacrifice yourself for smells and messy stuffs around there, and you gotta wake up early to visit Muara Angke (well, it's worth with all your sacrifices). For whoever wants a shortcut, here's Bandar Djakarta in Ancol Dreamland, situated opposite of Putri Duyung Cottage. This restaurant is fulfilled by seafood hunter at the lunchtime and dinner, even in the weekdays, you'ld better visit this place around 4pm. But don't worry, I just visited this restaurant at the dinner time, and believe it or not, people had been already queuing and i could see how long that queue, but then i go to the reservation area to take my name on the reservation lists, the waiter will give sort of the ticket/small paper which must you keep to show it off when the waiter call your name. The service is very good, they use the loud-speaker to call our names, so i spend my time to take around the fish market which located next to the reservation area. I find out there are so many kinds of fish, clams, prawns, crabs that i've never seen before, well you'll never Salmon or some atlantic-fish here, you'll only find the ingredients taken from Indonesian sea (local stuffs). You'll get each names of the fish/others and prices are tagged on each basin, so you this help you to calculate how much will you spend for your seafood selections. After your name called, you have to get back to the reservation area and give your ticket/small paper which given before, then the waiter will take you to your own table (fortunately, i was putted on the shore, but you can ask to be placed on your wanted-table, e.g., "lesehan"), and tagged the table with green-paper which means "the table is taken", then what you gotta do is back to the fish market and take "Mas-mas" (people who take ingredients you want, males), just choose what fish/others you want and he will ask how many you want it. After choosing the raw-ingredients, then "si Mas" will drive you to the weighing area, he will weigh and calculate your stuffs, and ask give some choices of sauces you wanted for every ingredients. Subsequently, he will give us the paper (receipt), and go back to our table. The waiter will come to you and ask what you want to drink and whether you need some snacks or veggie things to be eaten or not. The system of the restaurant will happen all the time, so don't ever miss any part of the steps before you get the fresh seafood. The service is so good, the waiters are well-trained and every waiter have their own tasks known from the uniform they wear.

Gosh, i love this part--the moment of truth. The prawns, clams, squids, and crabs (i didn't order fish) are amazingly LOVELY, SUPERB, BEAUTIFUL, and FRESH! I was surprised with the clams especially. I ordered Kerang Batik (Batik clams) which i've never seen before in any markets in Jakarta, and it tastes so good and sweet, the singapore sauce makes a good combination with the clams, and this sauce must you order for your ingredients. Then, i ordered Steamed Garlic-Scallop (Kerang Kipas-Steam Bawang Putih), oh gosh, this is totally awesome, the garlic is perfectly tasteful, you got sweet and some unique taste for the garlic itself (i'ld love to title you as an idiot if you not order this), and the scallop is so GOOD, the best scallop i've ever eaten, it's so sweet and easy to eat, i have no problem with the annoying-chewy texture which i usually find while eating scallop. And the last but not least, i ordered Squids with Salted-Eggs Sauce (Cumi-Saos Telor Asin. Telor Asin (Salted-Eggs) is made from salted-duck eggs, the fresh-chewy squids combine perfectly with the eggs, gosh i got no doubt to recommend you guys with this, try it, and enjoy your life with this entertaining restaurant.
