“Overpriced”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014 via mobile

The place is nice with interesting decoration. But that is all of what good about this place. For price around Rp 100 thousands they serve a small size burger. A glass of ice tea costs Rp 30 thousand. definitely overpriced!

“Doesn't live up to the hype”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

Read a lot about this place and as a big fan of burgers I was excited to give it a try. I left pretty disappointed. I thought Rp. 100,000 for just a burger (fries are extra) was a lot, but I would be okay with that if it was a truly amazing burger. It was not. The meat was bland and the burger looked only slightly bigger than a BK whopper (and only slightly tastier, to be honest). The venue looks cool but it has no AC so it's hot and the seating is not very comfortable. I ordered an ice tea and it was 30k for a tiny cup filled mostly with ice. The fries, which came in a decent portion, were the best thing but with a total bill of around 200k a person I came away pretty unimpressed.

Potato Head knows how to throw a good party but none of their venues have impressed me with their overpriced food. They finally overreached with this place, a serious miscalculation. After everybody has tried it once, they'll see a serious drop off in business unless they can get their prices down to a reasonable level. Otherwise I don't see it lasting more than a year.

“over priced, under seasoned, served almost raw”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

For a place that has a simple menu of a few burgers you would think they would serve an excellent burger, especially considering the price they serve at a a self serve restaurant. They couldn't get the burger right, it was tasteless and bloody in the center but it was better than the soggy cole slaw sold in a small paper cup for 45k IDR ++ or the tastless chicken wings. The natural cola sold for 30k idr++ comes in a small paper cub filled with ice so that you get just a few sips of drink. Absolute waste of time and money to try this place. Really enjoy the food at Potato Head, surprised they screwed this restaurant up so badly. How hard is it to cook a good burger?

“Juicy burger , BUT”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

So ..i really wanted to try the famous Three Buns after reading reviews on several sites. Stopped in for dinner tonight and was pleased to see it was not so crowded. I ordered the burning man burger ( 110 +tax ) , fries and a ginger drink. The price of the burger it self creating high expectations ....wich not met! The burger was Juicy and fresh but lacked flavour..
Yes , The ambience and service was good and I have to admit too they did a pretty nice job with the concept and interior design but the prices are a little too much for a casual restaurant

“Good taste, a bit too pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2014

Burger is basically a slice or more meat patties between buns with additional cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and condiment or special sauce. The burger at this place is no different, though some might called it 'gourmet burger'. It became a hype because of its location, cool concept and perhaps the chef who came from a burger joint in London.
I have to admit they did a pretty nice job with the concept. It's different, it's for the hipster, it's for a lifestyle.
Service: no different than a fast food. A hostess welcome you and handed a menu, you approach the cashier, do your order and they will give you a number tag. You pick up your drinks at the bar and pick up your burgers when your number lights up on the board.
Taste: it wasn't disappoint, especially after paying a whopping millions rupiah for 9 burgers, 2 sides and 9 drinks. On average, IDR160k for a burger and a drink. Was it worth the price? For the taste, perhaps. For the place and a burger in Jakarta, maybe a little bit too much.
