i stay here on every new year`s eve since 2010, but the service is decreasing. the room are gloomy and dusty, light bulps are off ( already call n complain but no one come to fix), the staff are not helpful. the restaurant always run out of food on breakfast. it is bad very bad experience for me since i already consider my self as a repeater guest. plase do something about it. u have the building and the facilities. but the staffs is not supporting.

Cheap? yes it is compare to an Expensive Hotels with 5 stars butttttt..... I always had a great time here. Hotel Cemara simply have one of the best small hotel. I have much better experience here than hotels that worth four times. Everyone has been trained professionally and the room is comfortable. Dont want to spend much money but you want a great hotel? try the Executive Superior. You wont regret it dammit.

The niche is the location of this hotel. It's in the very center of Jakarta.

The service and venue is good.

We were initially staying for one night which we had pre-paid (£30 for a double) through agoda. We stayed for two nights longer paying roughly the same with the hotel.

It was clean, good aircon, comfortable beds and had a great rooftop pool (see the pics).

You are a 15 min max walk to gambir station where the airport bus (great value, comfortable, air con, 20000) drops you off. To head to the hotel- stand under the trainline with the national
Monument behind you and head away from the station following the train lines. It's easy to find with the most basic maps.

The staff were really polite, great value, a nice place to stop within 5 minutes of jalan jaksa. Enjoy :-)
