Stayed in the Sparks hotel for 4 nights on my first trip to Jakarta. My room was really nice, had a view over Jalan Mangga Besar. I was not disturbed at all from the hotel bar on the ground floor
At night the bar has bands and dancers. The restuarant was good, enjoyed some Indonesian dishes. Alcohol is quite expensive. The swimming pool is adequate and the Spa has themes you can choose and then you choose your girl. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful when needed. There is some good entertaiment nearby all within walking distance, like the stadium disco. Lokasari plaza and the Travel Hotel and Spa. I would definately stay here again. The main road is busy, dangerous to cross and the Kota area is a little squalid. MongerPlanet.com
