“Slow Death... So Sad!”
It's really too bad this once tasty restaurant & family favorite is languishing under lack of attention, seemingly. It used to be located in Plaza Indonesia, then relocated to Plaza Indonesia eX & now to PX Pavilion @ The St. Moritz in Puri Indah; the Blok M area outlet also closed (don't remember if CPK had more than 1 branch open at the same time).
We just had dinner on Sunday & it was sad to see only 5 tables of patrons, compared to the packed Tony Roma's next door & other restaurants on the ground floor; even Grandma Suki next door seemed to attract more diners. Unfortunately, something was missing in the Peking Duck Pizza & Chicken Salad prepared tonight; the taste was no longer as we liked it & was a bit bland. Even a new item on the menu (tomato pasta) tasted just standard, like any other pasta one might find in even a local restaurant (sauce was not rich/thick but a bit watery at the bottom of the plate).
Service was also sub-par as the 3-4 servers were difficult to find & flag & our intern server didn't even take our order or told his colleague & even nearly brought another table's check to our table.
It's really too bad as we used to look forward to coming to this place & remembered the sensation when eating at its "The Valley" outlet on Ventura Blvd. way back when. I hope management brings back this franchise to its former glory as its current location, atmosphere & food aren't what comes to mind when thinking of CPK; they should've stuck to the eX location.
