Have been staying here rather regularly while coming through Jakarta for the last 4 years. It's definitely a place past its prime, but there's enough upkeep to make sure it's not falling apart quite yet. I can't say there's anything particularly memorable about this place though, but either from the good or the bad side of things.
Nice family place - small plastic playground indoors and very kid-friendly pool, and have never seen the 'questionable characters' that are regularly sited at many hotels in Indonesia
No tipping policy makes it easy with porters and other staff, who all tend to give very friendly service.
Older hotel means larger rooms, more spacious than newer places in the same price range such as the Ibis etc.
Breakfast not included, and not really worth 50,000 but there's not a better option right by the hotel.
Internet in room is pretty difficult, you really have to go downstairs to use it and there's only one plug in the lobby area.
