We have stayed at the Hotel Aryaduta for many years, dating from when Hyatt first took over to recently after Hyatt departed. The staff are loyal and friendly, the hotel a good size for a business hotel and a sensible place to stay for safety purposes. They have tried to keep things going and are slowly renovating but the owners are simply not spending enough money on the property. The plumbing needs repair work and so does the laundry. Beware getting whites cleaned there. The restaurants are good and the pool now updated and pleasant. Some of the rooms are yet to be updated and have not changed for many years. There are other hotels in Jakarta that are more up to date and luxurious but often in bad traffic locations and not as safe. It is not a bad hotel, but not the best in town.
