I have just stayed there for one night & will be returning later this week.
I have to say the experience was variable. No major worries, just some niggles.
Reception was a real disappointment. I checked in at 1500 & was told my room was not available (check-in time is 1400 as confirmed in my booking) unless I wanted a smoking room. I was then told to wait for 15 minutes while the room was prepared. No options, no apologies, no offers of a drink or anything ... just sit over there & wait.
I then waited closer to 25 minutes at the Illy coffee shop.
The rooms are fine, clean, with comfortable bed, good TV, good bathroom, rather limited amenities in the bathroom.
Later that evening I wanted to work in the bar. I was, again, told no space in no smoking area, as it was 'booked'.
When I went to concierge for advice on options, he was GREAT - understood my needs & took me to the executive lounge where I could work, on WiFi, in peace & quiet.
Back to the bar that evening, ordered a whiskey from the choice of 5, waited 10 minutes & was then told my choice was not available & neither were any others, apart from one!
Next morning, breakfast is great! Huge room, LOTS of choice, fresh fruit & fresh croissants & very attentive staff. Upon check-out, I explained the disappointment of the check-in & the guy removed the charge for Internet for me, as compensation - great again!
