Jakarta is an impressive City and this is an impressive Hotel- perfect for a lazy hangout during the weekend. I am quite often in Jakarta to meet up with friends, clubbing and sometimes for meetings. The Hotel is perfectly located in the "middle" of the city. Jakarta is really huge and traffic can bother you, but taxis are cheap and a Trans Jakarta Bus stop is next to the Hotel. The good thing about using bluebird/ silver bird taxis is, that they are reliable. The concierge/ front office team was able to return my quite expensive digital camera to as I lost it in a cab, when I left the Hotel for a meeting. Well done and thanks again!
Even the standard rooms are spacious and well kept. Huge bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. Internet access is fast, but far to pricey nowadays. Room service is quick, but food offerings taste boring- nothing really nice. There is a lot space for improvement. The buffet breakfast in the main restaurant is really good. Very friendly staff and a lot to choose from- western, asian and of course indonesian food. The fresh juice section is my favorite.
Outdoor pool is good for a few laps and the terrace is relaxing.
Main downside are the very slow elevators! It took ages.
Nevertheless- Intercontinental Jakarta offers a very good product and I will return for sure.

The Lobby is not that beautiful, but the rest of the Hotel does maintain a certain touch of Luxury. Ensure that you get a Premier Room at a price of Deluxe, as Deluxe rooms are only uptill 5 th floor and the size is questionable. Usual marketing gimmick of Hotels.
Rooms are nice and well maintained, The lifts to the room are quite painful as the system is anitquated, nevertheless, I was told that they are organizing to install a new system.
'Bathrooms are well laid out.
Breakfast is quite good and the hotel is sensible enough to add cuisines from China, India, Japan, Continental on the buffet.
Fitness Centre is Nice.
Location is odd, but anyway most hotels in Jakarta have an odd location, so does not matter.
Connected to a Mall , which helps browsing the local fancies.

It's my first experience staying at Intercontinental.
However, I have been very familiar with this hotel and visiting it quite so often (mostly seminars, wedding party, and occassionally visit the lobby lounge enjoying the drinks).
The hotel is located in the main business area of Jakarta, but located uniquely a bit secluded (shielded by other buildings) from the mainstreet.

Last mid-August, I'd like to know how does it feel to stay at Intercontinental.
I made reservation by phone, and they quickly sent the confirmation thru my email.
When I arrived, the receptionist processed my check-in very quickly, good service from the conscierge too.

The room itself is not very spacious, yet sufficient. Quiet, clean, with modern-minimalist design. The Bed are comfortable. There's a bath-tub in the bathroom, and toilet amenities are complete.

Breakfast is also a good experience. Mixed of Indonesian (local), Chinese, Japanese, Continental, and American breakfast are available. There are also option for non-koresh foods. Maybe the juice selections can be made even better by providing apple juice as well? (no big deal indeed).

Check-out process is also quick.

Overall a satisfying experience staying in this hotel.

I stayed here twice for business. It is really good and cannot compare with Crowze Plaza (even same group!) and of course Sunlake!
How good it is? Let's check it out!
1. Room - Very clean & comfortable!
2. Staff - Very courtesy & can remember my name, my request...etc. Willing to help & you can feel they do care about you!
3. Restaurants - Good quality on breakfast. But the Italian restaurant is a bit pricy. If you like Chinese food, recommend you go to the mall next to the hotel called Ah Yat Abalone.
4. Spa - Good staff again & good therapist in reasonable price
5. Convience - Good connection to the mall (not shopping mall) which provided a conviences stores & more restaurants!

Only one thing I need to complaint is the location! It is horrible traffic jam caused I cannot go out have a look of Jakarta when I have some free time!
