Went to this restaurant last night (May 4) on the recommendation of and accompanied by a local business colleague. Fantastic space, relaxed ambience, staff attentive but not pushy. The menu was broad, full of interesting, well explained dishes with good English translations. We let our local colleague choose and he chose the metre long satay, which, with it's varied grilled treats and accompanying sauces was stunning! Along with a couple of local side dishes and the red rice (instead of white steamed rice) it was a grand feast, and reasonably priced.
The same owners have a tapas bar (Moya) and a French-themed restaurant (Cassis) in the same building. Having experienced their Indonesian style, it will be a hard choice to make between trying their other venues or going back to "Harum Manis".
Absolutely recommended to anyone in search of traditional Indonesian food but not keen to try the street vendors. Wear you best batik shirt on Fridays for a 10% discount (well, when we were there, anyway!)
