“A little Switzerland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

Don't go any further if you are looking for authentic Swiss food. When inside, you will feel like you are in Switzerland.
The only drawback was its price, especially for average Indonesian purchasing power.

“Wholesome food with transparancy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

If you want a quality and wholesome food, this is the place. I can see that they cook with the real olive oil instead of the palm oil or "vegetable oil", everything cooked in front of you, no MSG (monosodium glutamate or vetsin/micin), no additive, just plain honest healthy food. Indonesians are still generally ignorant about the food safety and do not mind consuming restaurants meals using MSG, additive, harmful preservatives (formaldehyde) and palm cooking oil (higher cholesterol content).

For sure the taste of most food in Indonesia is highly enhanced by the use of MSG (locally called micin) and for those who are so used to eating food with MSG daily, may find food without MSG bland and not so tasty. I have not found any restaurant serving Indonesian cuisine without MSG. So what a treat to have meals without those additives and artificial flavouring or palm oil.

Will come back again for honest food.

“going downhill”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

The Marché used to be good or at least felt good about three, two years ago but with time it has become a sad letdown. I got sick twice late last year after eating there, once from a cream dessert and once from a salad.
I used to go for the Cesar Salad but even something as simple as this seems to have become a challange for them. The portions got smaller and smaller, the lettuce more tired, they seem to get miserly about their anchovis and every time one has to remind them that this is not about homoeopathic dosages. Plus, as everytime there is someone else making the dishes, there is no consistency. Apparently there is no quality control or supervision.
The pasta-portion last time I went was so tiny that even my 8-year-old left hungry. Tastewise it was on the brink of inedible being insanely greasy and heavy. Food is generally overpriced, but especially when it comes to simple drinks as iced tea, let alone the freshly made juices, which are ridiculously and way too expensive and exceed prices in Europe where not only labour is far more expensive but tropical fruit or citruses have to be imported.
Overall the whole affair feels neglected and seems to rest on it's questionable laurels (or account books). We do avoid the place until they get their act together and prove that they care about their patrons agian. So far not woth it anymore.

“Just OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

The food selection is just OK, if not so-so, yet somewhat pricey. Love the setting, the ambiance and the experience, especially if we're dining in with friends. OK for once or twice, not so much to re-visit though.
