“STAY HERE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

This place is amazing! The property is beautiful, so quiet and so peaceful. The staff is so great and so nice and helpful and genuine. We arrived to the hotel at 1am and staff quickly came to the car to help us out with luggage and quick check in and shown to the room. The breakfasts included are filling and so tasty with multiple option including the "jaffle" with I think you should all try. The grounds are beautiful and so relaxing, Pool is nice and usually quiet.
We stayed here a total of 4 nights and could have spent much longer. During our trip to Bali we stayed in 4 different hotels throughout the island and thought this was the best and such a great value.
The location is great. Next to the Monkey Forest which we visited multiple times which is so fun. It's only a few minute pleasant walk into town and the town of Ubud is really nice. I'm glad we didn't stay in the heart of Ubud as it is quite busy with a lot of hustle and bustle and loud motor bikes. So this hotel is just close enough but far away enough if that makes sense. We loved it here and would go back in a heart beat. Easy to book with emails to the hotel online. No complaints at all. I'm sure the sister hotels Alam Shanti and Jiwah are similar and just as nice.

Room Tip: Hibiscus room has a great view and great balcony

Stayed only one night at Alam Indah after being at Kebun Indah for 4 days. The Alam Indah is amazing, we had the Mawar room with views of the jungle absolutely breath taking. The staff are very helpful especially Wayan who gave us lots of information of Balinese culture. The service is lovely and even though we had to check out early they were happy to store our luggage and let us use the facilities of the hotel, we even ordered a meal before departing. Will definetely be back.

Room Tip: Try the rooms with views.

My husband and I stayed at Alam Indah for a week during our honeymoon and we could not have dreamed of anything more perfect. The grounds are simply incredible, the views are gorgeous and the staff members are all wonderfully kind and helpful. We stayed in the hibiscus room, which was, without question, the most peaceful and relaxing place I've ever slept. The pool is beyond beautiful, and we found that it was frequently all ours (benefit of visiting in the low season?). The location is great, and on top of that there is a driver who will take you into Ubud and pick you up free of charge.

Suffice it to say we are just in love. We will never visit Bali again without a stop at Alam Indah; it is perfect in every way. (Special shout out to Gede, who was a blast to talk to and made our visit really memorable).

Thanks Alam Indah!! From, Sarah-Jayne and David

Room Tip: The view from the Hibiscus room is unparalleled. No a/c, but there's a a great breeze and a hug...

Don't know all the hotels around Ubud, but this one is really great. Nice welcome from Peter and its rottsweiler. This is an idyllic place, with the sounds of the jungle during the night, view of the forest for the breakfast, with sometimes visit of a parrot and a monkey (an old monkey not really nice, take care!)
Nice massage and spa (not cheap), amazing pool (as in many places around Ubud).
Rent a scooter through the hotel, price is reasonnable, and the 10min in scooter between in the rice fields to join Ubud is just a paradise road (one big declination, don't drink too much !)
With a scooter, around Ubud, you can go eveywhere, even to the volcano.
Interesting prices in low season !

Having stayed in many different places in Ubud I have finally found my ultimate accommodation. Alam Indah is absolutely perfect.

We stayed 8 nights in the only room available on booking - Pistang (Banana) room. It was difficult to find a review of this room on the internet, but it was just perfect. Upstairs overlooking the garden and simply and rustically furnished. We spent a great deal of time relaxing on the comfortable daybed watching the monkeys being chased out of the rambutan trees by the vigilant staff, reading and just enjoying the wonderful atmosphere.

I happened to mention that it was our wedding anniversary and on returning to our room later that day found a beautiful flower arrangement and card. It is details like this that just make Alam Indah delightful.

The staff are wonderful, breakfasts are excellent, the transport arrangements are really good and make being a bit out of town no inconvenience whatsoever.

I can't wait to visit Alam Indah again.

I had the privileged of another stay at Alam Indah. It is the type of place that you fall in love with and continue to go back to. A little gem.
The staff are amazing, attention to the little things is what makes this place special. The flowers in my room, fresh fruit, coffee deliver on request each morning to my room and when I became ill at the end of my solo trip they checked up on me regularly, brought me drinks and whatever food I need. Even running off to pharmacy for me for medication. Wonderful stay, can't wait to go back again soon.

Room Tip: Love all the rooms but particularly Mawar. If you can do without aircon, Hibiscus or Jepun are amazi...

Beautiful, little oasis with friendliest staff really makes us feel like home!

Spent 5 nightswith family in the large, cozy and beautifully decorated rooms (Lotus,Mawar,Jepun,Coconut, Lily,Hibiscus) with fantastic view of the valley from the balcony, lovely swimming pool and gorgeous place to lie back watch the sky, DO NOTHING!

Early morning sunshine color all the coconut trees, birds are chirping happily, really love waking up to nature’s symphony. This is the best way to greet the day and enjoy Alam's breakfast !

Room Tip: Mawar & Hibiscus room got the best valley view.
