Description: Motel Mexicola supplies you with authentic mexican cuisine not unlike that cooked in restaurants, served on street corners and in homes in Mexico. Our two mexican chefs we have working in our kitchen is a testament to that. Specialising in Mexican Tapas our menu is designed for you to share. Ask our staff to order for you so you can experience the menu the way it is meant to be ordered and take a journey with us through the different flavours of Mexico. Be warned though, if its tex-mex you are after this is not what we do. We do fresh, fun interactive food that will make you want to come back for more. We guarantee you will love it!!

“Many items unavailable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

We enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. The food was very good, however, the owner was keen to order for us. This may because so many items were not available.

“great retro style mexican”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

go to see the amazing fit out if nothing else!
the attention and detail in the decor is really impressive and on entering the restaurant you are immediately transported into 1960s Acapulco.
this is clearly not living the real Bali by eating Mexican, but can make a very attractive change to mee goreng.
the food was very good and made all the better by not churning out the usual fast food Mexican that we have all grown to know and hate.Cost wise it is more than standard Indonesian fare, but still significantly less than all the "in "restaurants that often don't deliver and are expensive even by western standards ...dont miss visiting on your next trip

“Chintzy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Stumbled across this Mexican restaurant, previously having gone to Sea Circus if we wanted a little bit of Mexican food.
Huge, colourful, chintzy place with heaps of potential.
Wasn't there last year so maybe just getting it's act together.
The power being out didn't help either and they were most apologetic about that.
Food was limited, reasonable and a little bland.
Service was scattered.
But I'm sure it rocks at night as there appeared to be at least 3 bars and a huge area to eat and congregate.
Lots of effort been put in and we hope it will do well.
Will try again next year.

“Looks aren't everything”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

Well , it sure looks like the "real deal", very colourful, well thought out and decorated and looks like it would be a lot of fun with a crowd. Being lunchtime (served 1100-1600h) it was surprisingly very quiet. Any Mexican restaurant that doesn't have Tacos, Empanadas , a full range of Quesadillas or even Churros available, is not much of a representative though. We were told by "Speedy Gonzales" (sarcasm) , the waiter and dish stacker, that they had only opened for lunch in last 10 days as an experiment. It won't work unless they cater for it! After making a noise (something we would not normally do) about how incredulous it was that these items were not available, we got Churros (very good too) after a 15 minute wait. An open garbage bin next to the collection station for plates and cups , in full view, is also not very good practise. By the size of the stacks of plates and cups on the collection table, there must have been a "huge crowd" in for the early part of the lunch period , because on our arrival there were only 8 customers in the restaurant and all had finished their meals. "Speedy" also needs some lessons in supplying knives, forks and napkins before the meals arrive and also an orthodox technique for clearing plates from the table. The one he practises at present is a sight to behold! It did look like they were more intent on preparing for the evening drinks and meals , rather than dealing with the few customers in at the time. It is a pity as we had looked forward to experiencing this new outlet.

“Good ambience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

Really like the ambience of the restaurant, nice place to hang out with the whole family. The owner was very friendly and tried to suggest us with the Mexican dining experience.
