Tried it out and didn't blow us away or give us a Bow WOW with service, menu, atmosphere or location. Was very reasonably priced with good drink selection and the beers were ICY Cold. awesome!!!
Service - staff were nice, helpful and knew the menu well. An guy came over during the meal and without introducing himself just asked "if things were OK". Had no idea who he was, could have been the owner?, Chef? partner? curious stranger? We answer "yes" with a smile expecting an introduction but he then left without any other words? would have been nice to have a chat and get a feel for the menu, theme and what he does?
Ordered second round of drinks with our meal (glass wine and bottled beer) but after 10min had not come out so had to ask again. They came within minutes. Certainly not a busy night so we guess they forgot. No worries, it happens sometimes and we wern't too fussed by it.
Menu - quite diverse. All our 5 dishes were fine, nothing blew us away, still very edible
The upstairs open portion is quite nice, comfy chairs and great for groups but the paddy field it looks over is not that nice and also looks over a local families open house. The other side looks over the road.
Downstairs very nice
Did not really know what the "theme" of the restaurant was
Location - Easy to find, good parking for bikes, couple of spots for cars
Definitely not a bad place, hence the average rating, and I think with the right group of friends could be a great venue and not hard on the pocket
