“The best place we have stayed at in Bali”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

This was easily the best place we have stayed at in Bali. Everything about it was perfect, was always clean, unreal location, reasonable price, reliable and friendly staff. I will try and stay here every time I return to Bali and I have been recommending it to all of my friends back home.

Me and my friend Sandra had a great time at Antara Villas, the pool was especially good after a hot day :)

Philippe and his staff were very accommodating, we even got to visit the villa before booking it.
We took advantage of both the laundry and the food service. (Just one evening when we didn’t feel like going out to a restaurant)

Taxi to some really good restaurants were only 10-15K Rp.

Four friends and myself absolutely loved staying at Antara. The staff were very helpful and courteous and the villa itself was gorgeous. The only complaint we had was that our power and water supply was cut off a few times because of the construction work, however, we know that that could not be controlled by the staff because it was external construction, so we didn't mind too much. Other than that we had an amazing stay and Bambang was very helpful and attentive. I should also add that the location was great and the pool was a highlight in itself.

We arrived late in the evening to find 'Bang Bang' waiting for us with cool water from the Villas water cooler. Our initial impression was 'wow'. We are in Villa B, the two bedroom. Had very restless night sleep as I was worried about the fact that we could not lock the Villa to our satisfaction. Woke to find ants all through the kitchen and through all the groceries that we had purchased the night before for breakfast. The fridge did not work so all our fridge items needed to be thrown out. On closer inspection the Villa needs a total overhaul and massive clean to be bought up to an acceptable standard for the money you are paying. For $175 per night I would suggest staying in Legian where breakfast is supplied and the facilities are cleaner and you are close to all facilities, it is a waste of money paying for a fully self contained Villa when you cannot cook in it due to ants!!. Food service to the Villa is very expensive and of poor quality. To get to restaurants and shops you need to get a cab for about 30000R, I was hoping that the Villa was more central to shops and restaurants. There is a mini mart close by but has limited supplies and nothing is refrigerated! The convenience of the pools is lovely and the Villa is quiet at night and restful. Kids love it. I am very fussy! Nice experience, but wont stay here again.

Room Tip: Make sure you are not fussy with location to shops and restaurants if staying here.

Staying at a villa was a new experience, all previous Bali holidays were at hotels, the privacy, convenience and comfort of Antara Villa (we had the 3 bedroom), was just perfect for us, the staff were friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble, when we didn't need them we didn't see them, when we did, they appeared promptly. We felt secure with a guard posted at the gate, the bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable, it was quiet at night and the pool table was a convenient distraction. The location was good, only about 1km to the beach and numerous good restaurants and bars at Double Six, was then a short stroll to Legian and then Kuta along the beachfront road. Only about 400m to Jalan Legian with plenty of shopping and restuarants nearby.
We had all the conveniences we needed, the only criticism we could find was the kitchen, it's very basic and could do with a renovation, but the dine in menu was quite good and we had meals delivered on a few occasions.
Overall, I would recommend Antara Villa as a great place to stay for a family holiday.

Our family of 14 stayed at the Antara Villas for my husbands 50th - We all had an excellent stay and my husband had a wonderful birthday here. Staff are fantastic, villas are very spacious, private and relaxing with only a short walk to beach and the restaurant strip.

We had a great stay at Antara Villas. We had the 3 bedroom villa, while our friends had the two bedroom villa next door. The rooms were clean, pools great, and we loved the area. Close enough to everywhere we wanted to go, but away from the hustle and bustle. Would definitely recommend
