I've seen this hotel for years and wondered what it would be like so as we had 1 night before flying out decided to try it. The hotel is in a fantastic position (opposite the Legion Beach Hotel & down a dingy alleyway) for shopping, restaurants, beach, spas etc. The room was clean there was a small fridge towels were old and small. We wanted a double but could only get twin on the first floor. No lifts which didnt worry us and the staff help with any bags if you were higher up. A basic breakfast is supplied but there are heaps of restaurants out on the street if you want something better. The hotel looks really pretty all the rooms are around the pool and even though most of the rooms seemed to have people in them the place was really quiet and none in the pool which was clean and inviting. The beach is a minute walk away. We got the room with breakfast for $45. I wouldnt want to spend my holiday in this hotel but if you had a stopover or needed a cheap room for a late night checkout this place would be fine.Casey Spa in the alleyway before the hotel does the best pedicures. The spa might not look flash (she was one of the original places years ago) but she will do the best job on your heels and the polish lasts for weeks. Try her!
