“Mandala was a hidden gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

This restaurant with a rooftop view (of Lhasa and its multiple watching police and army personnel) turned out to have very good food of many different cultures (Tibetan, Chinese, Indian, Nepalese) and despite being a tourist-oriented place was a great restaurant to have a final dinner in Tibet.

“Finally a place that has an English food menu!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

One of the *few* restaurants in Tibet that has English language food menus. Almost every restaurant in Lhasa only has food menus in Chinese and Tibetan language. It is very popular with "western" tourists. They also had satellite TV featuring European football matches in addition to western food of hamburgers and spaghetti in case you get totally tired of eating the local Tibetan and Chinese fare.

“Yak Burgers!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

We went with a group to this restaurant and they seem to cater to groups. It's a convenient location near the center of the old town. The yak burgers were good. However, one woman in our group who ate something else thought it made her ill. Cleanliness was marginal. So go if you've got a strong stomach.

“Nice Indian Meals in Tibet!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

This place will offer you some delicious spicy Indian dices and some western foods. It's a nice restaurant to try some typical Indian foods in Tibet plus foods are great. They have rooftop seating available which will give you scenic views outside. You will surely enjoy the place if you like Indian spicy foods.
